This is a class I am really struggling to build. Currently I am running a 6/3/6/5/6 build and doing well with it. However I feel I am missing out on a good portion of damage from Smash and also BEs.

I had considered either a 6/6/6/3/5 or a 6/6/6/5/3 build but I wanted people's opinions on this. I was thinking that with a 6/6/6/3/5 build I could give them Adapitve war amp V and with the 6/6/6/5/3 build a Sheild booster V. So i'd lose 10% of either shields/health or power damage.

I don't know if this important but I mainly play solo just because my internet can be slow at times.

Also wanted to know if I should go for Electric damage or Force & Damage? I like the idea of keeping the class a full biotic, giving them access to another setup power with a little extra damage.

Thanks

I prefer to run the Phoenix Adept this way ever since the Singularity change: 6/6/0/6/6

Run a good set weapon and the Acolyte.  Typhoon even works well, especially with Incendiary Ammo.  What you can do is use Singularity to ragdoll basics, then fire on other enemies.  For something like a Marauder, try firing till its sheilds are near gone, then hit him with singularity.  He will get lifted on fire and you can ignore him as he will get killed via DOT.

For large enemies, use Singularity and abuse corners so you can Smash and set of BE's.

Phantoms are a laugh with this setup: fire Singularity and they go into "bubble" mode with the Singularity sitting on top of them.  Fire the Acolyte to strip shields, and when they turn the bubble off they will get immediately lifted into the Singularity.

For the Vanguard I like something like this without Lash again: 6/6/0/6/6

Since there is no Lash, I don't bother spec'ing Smash for combo detonations and go with the Electrical effect instead.  You have more than 1000N of force on Chage so you should be able to stagger Phantoms.  Chage, then you can go into heavy melee.  Also learn to cancel out of the Smash animation into a roll or melee.  If you think you need durability, you can consider going more shields on Fitness, but remember that you do have Charge.

Hmmm, this is tough. I like Lash (usualy take it to rank 6 'Sheild penetration') so I can get ranged detonations + the 50% detonate evo. I did take smash at rank 6 and picked biotic combo. Surprised to see that it primes armoured targets. It does amazing damage.

Although it may be a psychological thing, I feel like i'm going down to easily. I usually take rank 6 fitness so I have  825 shields and health. At rank 3 I have 625 + sheild booster (rank 3 - 20%) so I have 725 shields.....I'll be honest, it's the 4 point hacking missions that are the trouble. Eliminate, decrypt and escort aren't a big deal. Maybe Stronghold package V for shield boost and recharge delay?

If you are solo, then 4 devices is the toughest objective with a visible class. It requires patience kiting the enemy away from the device moreso than a specific build. But if you want extra durability, then Cyclonic Modulator IV is what you want for +150% shields.

Right. I tend to go head on, I need to really force myself to start kiting them, thanks.

Would you suggest I stick with Sheild Booster for 30% shields or move to Stronghold package for a 20% extra shields and 12% recharge boost?

It depends. If I have Rank 6 fitness or Damage Resistance I tend to go with more shields. Otherwise I go Stronghold.

10% shields isn't a huge difference either way, and likewise the extra shield recharge doesn't always help.

With the Cerberus Adept I am 6 w/ everything, except singularity. Slam w/ Lash and a shotgun...You are a walking psychotic biotic. It's an up close and personal class that helps with crowd control.

Adept, go 6/6/6/6/0.
Lash is a great power.

And I'd doubt you would want my vanguard build, since I play him as a soldier.
