I am sure they are on PC's cause my xbox characters just can't corner safely. No way I could shoot anything
and keep up with them! What if were to circle in the opposite direction? I wouldn't worry, but it happens soo often.

I play only UUB Quick matches, and very very often end up trying to follow 3 friends (not mine) racing around the map.

wait wait, let me see if I understand
You play with 3 players that runs a lot in the game and you think they are on PC WHILE you are on Xbox?
oh my lord.
Okay, look, they are on the same plattform you are, because games between plattforms are not possible, which means, if you are playing on Xbox, ALL the players that you will play with will be doing it on Xbox.

Going against the direction the 3 others are running is what i do normally but you had better be able to handle the enemy fire as you have no support and if the map is big, you can only depend on yourself for revives.
I like to do that, and can, but I am to new to not know if that I'm being a jerk. It can be tough to be team player !

I sometimes use my index finger to hit the A button.
I really don't like the way modern controllers are designed.

Index finger on the A button, will try that tonight. Just when my tendonitis was calming down.
You can move the camera while you do combat rolls with the right joystick too. While you storm if you need to make a sharp corner do a forward roll while holding your thumbstick in the direction you want to turn. If you want to continue the storming hit your sprint button again.
Also when jumping down to lower areas roll after the fall not before. You should be able to keep your speed up if you time this right.
Hope that helps Banjoman.

Eventually someone is going to figure out where our fingers are and put the buttons there. Controllers of today remind me of 2 button mice before they figured out where to stick more buttons in easy to reach places.

You're making it more difficult than you need to.

Controllers are just really poorly designed. I hate how often I have to contort my hand to carry out an action. They're ergonomic nightmares.

console players that arent used to your style of controls feel the exact opposite.
