Encounter Spawn Facing East

Does anyone have an idea why when I add a spawn point for an encounter, turn it (the long axis of the triangle) to face a certain direction, the creatures spawn in facing East?  (0 degrees)

CreateObject uses locations properly, but it's possible that encounters use an internal function that uses position instead of location, which would lack the facing part.

Yeah, encounters always spawn facing east. Never found a way to fix that.

are you guys using the encounter spawn arrow to determine where creatures appear? I haven't noticed yet that the location would be wrong with this technique.

I assume this is wrong, then?

Is there any way to get the spawn point object? You could pull the facing off that and change the creatures' facing in their OnSpawn script.

For the record (like ths needs to be asked, but let us be thorough to rule out the obvious ;) ) we are using 1.69.

And yes, I adjust the facing of the spawn arrow to point in the direction I wish the creature to face, but they are still ending up facing east.

No idea Monk about your thoughts, but then again, I have never looked. Good thought, and I'll see what I can find when I have more time after the holidays. :)
