Hmmm... I´ve encountered a few women/girls in here, probably more since not all people announce their sex. So, I wager there aren´t as few as you might think OP.

And yes, I´m female myself.

I had assumed there were a lot here.  Though, that may be, because I've always associated people with the gender of their Avatar.  After, looking at a few profiles, I'm now questioning this theory, but it's good to see I wasn't entirely wrong.

saw a poll once that lists only 33% of ME players were female... don't know for MP though,.
I regularly play with 4-5? more girls who don't post here.

Most of the females seem to be using female avatars OP. But the fellas seem to favor the ladies' pics too, so I agree that it can be a bit confusing. Good thread though, nice to know there are so many female gamers on here.

Well, i do like Tali  Quarians and Geth in general but Tali has personality.

I think I'm significantly more likely to assume you're a girl, if you have a Tali Avatar. She just seems much more ladylike, despite killing mercilessly.
