To which the appropriate response is... "who cares?"

Thank you Bryan. I would love to give this thread back to the ladies, but I just felt like I had to respond to some people.Bryan Johnson wrote...

Why should female gamers, or female anything/anybody get special treatment? Is this the F'n dark ages? Last time I checked.... my mother made over a quarter of a million dollars a year alone, does she still deserve special treatment b/c she's female? I don't think so, neither does she.
That's where the animosity comes from... the expectation of being treated as 'special' or 'rare' because a female plays video games.
Since I've been alive... I've been told that women can do anything a man can. So if we are truely equals... why does a female gamer get special treatment? It's insulting quite frankly.
Having a vagina does not make someone special...
Do you think a "How many Black Guys are there playing ME3 MP" thread is appropriate? We are all human beings... no one gets special treatment except people with SPECIAL NEEDS!

no one was asking for special treatment. Some people liked the female Shepard character more than the male, so they wanted there to be one of each Shepard, not to change it. And the OP just wanted to see if there were other female forumers. She wasn't trying to get any special treatment.
This forum is for talking about the multiplayer AND meeting new people to play it with. You didn't end any thread. If she wanted to meet fellow female MP players why can't she make a thread to see who is one? This isn't about the fact that she is a girl.megabeast37215 wrote...

I'm going to ask you a very serious question: Why the F does it matter in ME3 MP or on BSN what someone's gender is? Srsly.
It literally has no place here, no relevance of any kind. It is nothing more than a mechanism for attention....

I'm done here... going to go have dinner with the family. Toodles.
Bryan's posted, but I think he didn't close it because he thinks it's a good idea, which it is. Maybe I'm wrong though, I don't know.silentstep79 wrote...
and yet another gender based thread has devolved into a flame war.

I seriously can't believe how offended some of you are at this thread, the more you keep posting the more you look like you have some problem, no-one else.

But what you should never do is get emotional and resort to petty attacks on someone's character and namecalling. (You know who you are.) It only serves to prove you have nothing of quality to say.
