 I was playing with pugs today and I saw this guy with a BWX and only a N7 rank of 20

I wish I could get a black widow that easily

Well... it COULD be an extremely rare case of someone who never promoted and only played one class.

Extremely unlikely... but, eh, possible.

I got my first BW after 3 months . It was the only UR weapon i wanted to get it to X. Took me around 5-6 months to get it to max.

Edit: It might be that lobby bug where it mixes up peope's N7/Challenge points when someone leaves.

this is true, he could be n7 120 but if he never named/changed app options the other 5 classed his n7 would stay 20.

Are you sure there wasn't an N7 20 who left so his N7 level showed erroneously as being 20?

Other than that, it's highly unlikely to have an N7 level that low and a maxed out Black Widow, and possibly a maxed out (Rare) weapon manifest (lvl IV ammo...).

EDIT: Or is it possible to tranfer your manifest to a new account? He doesn't have a banner so it seems?

Yeah, as other said, probably the lobby mixup bug where someone leaves and your spot gets moved up and you take on their challenge points/promotions/n7 rank.

My money is on obsessive non-promoter, which is a peculiar personality disorder, all right.

I've met a few them, they are very good players in general.

The thought of getting an alternate account, deploying only one character and never promoting solely to bewilder pugs has crossed my mind a couple of times, but I don't have the time and resources needed to maintain such an alternate persona. I can kinda respect other obsessive non-promoters, though.

theres people that have spent more than hundreds. on every game, theres someone.

people sell fully equipped characters for lots of money on mmos everyday.

The idea that he's played only one class and never promoted isn't so far fetched if you consider that there are quite a few gamers out there who go from shooter to shooter never using anything but sniper rifles.

Probably just a guy who only ever deployed one character. I met a guy on xbox who only ever played the GI. N7 20 with maxed rares.
