I think this is the answer as reload canceling is the issue, not the Claymore itself.  I don't know when an animation glitch became a feature for shooters but reload canceling is a plague on multiplayer shooters.

There is a saying here if someone estimates something that says "Pi multiplied with thumb".

So, let's say Pi x thumb = 42 Divide by Pi.
thumb = roughly 13,37.

Yay, we finally wound the question!

Claymore?

42.

Which obviously means the best way to build any character in ME3 is to carry 42 claymores :innocent:

The way I see it:

Weight is an issue = Raider
Weight isn't much of an issue = Claymore.

Wouldn't the Wraith be the better substitute if weight's an issue?

Not with the rate of fire it has. People seem to forget that Raider can pump out two shots in a row, without breaks.

The Wraith is miles better than the Raider on caster classes.

Well, I like the speed Raider has when firing the shots. POWPOW! Straight to the face! It's great for Paladin in CQC.

Wrath is a good gun. I like it. Just fires bit too slowly, imo.

Meanwhile the Raider can't hit anything outside of 15m and kill it with those 2 shots. The Raider is a better choice on primarily on classes that boost weapon damage and accuracy, and vanguards. The classes where weight is an issue with the Claymore will benefit more from the Wraith than the Raider as they almost universally (GE aside) don't boost accuracy and the Wraith is lighter.

But you're right, the Wraith does fire too slowly.

I prefer the Wraith as far as Shotguns are concerned.

if you use the claymore thats great but you obviously suck if you need it on every class you use.. just saying. a boatload of great weapons in this game but everyone wants to ride jock on one specific...n00bs without shame. have pride in saying IDGAF if im using a crusader and everyone else thinkgs its bad..i still kick azz with it.
