If you recruit Loghain, he has dialogue that indicates that Anora trained with both sword and bow as a child:

"Perhaps it was [lonely]. She read a great deal. She followed her mother like a shadow about the gardens. She practiced archery and swordplay. She was never idle."

If she gives the speech to rally the troops, she's wearing Medium Red Steel armor, requiring a Strength of 28. They'd have to bump that *down* if she were recruited early. I'd say she's got a decent number of levels of something. With her Cunning, I'd expect rogue.

no. even if she is skilled with sword and bow - she is a Queen of Ferelden.
As cameo - yes please, as companion no.

p.s. honestly i don't think there is any need of any old characters or companions.

I honestly hate Anora, she's a lying, minipulative, vicious, blonde harpy and unlike Morrigan, who may have many of those qualities, Anora's selfish, she just wants political power and she doesn't have your best interests at heart.

Also... lets not forget people... time skips. All of these characters we were introduced to in DA:O are a decade older. Not to say older characters can't join the party (Wynne and Loghain, how ya doing) but the likelihood of them being not tied down to other commitments like family, career, etc. are becoming a little to numerous. And, again, just like with Cullen, those who are requesting her for a LI need to realize she would qualify as Cougar status to a fresh-faced PC/Inquisitor. Again, not impossible, but it would be something the writing team would take into account that would color the relationship/dialogue.

Not to mention she is pretty much an ice queen from what we saw. She would not see the calculated benefit of traipsing about dungeons when she could send your PC there just as a request (because thou must), especially when the options on the table have her ruling a country instead.

Anora being in DA3? I'm for it. But as a companion/LI? Nope.

I don't know about having her as a companion (though if they can manage it, fair play), I'd rather have her as an important NPC. In any case, I really hope she returns in some way. I was so disappointed that Alistair comes to Seneschal's keep in DA2 but Anora never does.

Morrigan isn't selfish? Must have passed me by, considering how frequently Morrigan advocates doing evil/questionable things in DAO purely for power.
Or For the Evulz. Which of course, is far more wholesome than being a manipulative liar like Anora.

As a Cameo, no complaints as she as only seen in Origins for the most part and briefly in awakening .As a companion it would seem very contrived to go from Queen to playing second fiddle to the protagonist.

You missed the really important thing.  Morrigan isn't blonde!

Even her enemies acknowledge she's talented and capable. My wardens generally got along with her pretty well. If she's in exile (Alistair is king and di not kill her) she may be fresh out of minions to run her errands. Hence hooking up with the PC.

We also do not know how old the PC will be. Anora may be less of a cougar than some here think.

I am confused as to why you all think cougarhood is a bad thing anyway.

I am beginning to think I do not want any returning character in the game. One group wanted Cullen - and now we are getting Cullen. Now you want Anora, someone else wants - Idk - Talis. And if you push enough you might get it. It's like the game is shaped by someone else's wishes, not the story or plot necessity.

Hmm I really liked Anora's character in DA: O. She's a woman who will do anything to get what she wants! Sometimes deceptive, but I like it. I think it's kind of a stretch to have her as a companion, but I do want to see more of her in DA:I in some sort of role... a cameo at least (possibly with my Warden who she married).

On a side note, when I think of Anora, this actress comes to mind. I saw Taylor Schilling play Dagny Taggart in Atlas Shrugged. Schilling has a likeness to Anora, while her character reminded me of Anora's traits.

Perhaps it was only because of my playthrough canon (Alistair as a solo king and Anora imprisoned), but I never saw her as being *that* impressive. She's more of a chessmaster wannabe than an actual strategist. Flemeth is impressive. Anora, not so much. I'm not *against* her reappearing in DA:I, but I don't see the story being improved by her presence.

You don't know that. He could just be a cameo. We know that he's in the game based on Greg Ellis' twitter; we don't know the extend of his appearance yet.

I think I killed her. Or locked her up in the dungeon forever.

I love this idea, even though I suspect it's a parody of another thread.

Never cared for her since she's basically Cersei Lannister.
