I can't believe someone actually used "pragmatic" as an insult. It's a quality.

My thoughts exactly :|

Anora is awesome and I love her like nobody's business, but I'd rather she be a non Companion ally than a companion. Justifying her as a companion would take some serious work, and considering the many different endings for her everything that would have been affected by the Landsmeet outcome would have to have a bunch of different versions. I think that'd be easier to do without going as in depth as a companion role would require (maybe have her be exchangeable with Alistair, so it's always the ruler of Ferelden?). But I'd love for her to come back in such a role! We didn't get to see enough from her in Origins.

I had to see that post to believe it.

Dude....I wish she was just so that I could let her get killed over and over again. Freaking hated her...she was the reason the murder knife was created....which is why it's so sad you can't use it on her.

No.
I hate her.
BTW, she is not a follower. She would want to boss around. ;/

Absolutely not! She's a pragmatic b**ch who happily betrays her own father if the Warden decides to support her as a ruler or betrayes the Warden as happily if (s)he doesn't. A cameo, I don't mind, A companion, sure, when hell freezes over.

You know a portion of hell is actually frozen according to Dante? Well, there ya go.

Hahahaha the weird thing is I actually liked Loghain, especially after reading the books. I know, I'm weird lol.

The question I have is if Alistair is off having adventures with Isabela and Varric post-DA2 who's ruling Ferelden?

Arl Eamon, just as he planned all along...

Arl Eamon's character really needs to be expanded. As well as a lot of the political heads in DA:O. Alistair's crowning may have been some Tywin Lannister coup xD

How would it even make sense for Anora to be a companion in DA3? What would her motivation be to help some inquisitor in Orlais?

She is taking advantage of the orlesian civil war to expand Ferelden's borders, simple but effective.

It really makes no sense at all to have a companion, who ranks above the protagonist. she would have to endure a timeless fall from grace to even be a companion.

As a companion, I can't see it happening...

But as an ambassador to Orlais whether Alistair or she's the ruler could work, seeing as Orlais-Fereldan relations are strained at best as seen in Dragon Age 2.

I would like to see her as one of the sponsors that forms the group/order investigating what the hell is happening in Thedas, that the PC would later join. With the Chantry in shambles, and the templar and mages AWOL, if a big international supernatural disaster happens, the lords and rulers of Thedas don't really have anyone to turn too.

That's where the "Inquisition" (which may or may not be the actually name of the group) would come in.

Absolutely not! Don't get me wrong, she is an intelligent queen but she is power hungry such as the example of the Landsmeet when she turns against should you not support her bid for the throne.

That's a big fat NO for me. She is a complete and utter Be-otch. She stabs you in the back, for the good of Fereldan, but she ends up either being imprisoned, or leading as a tyrant.
Her strengths are more on the intellectual side, so I don't really see how she can be a help in a combat situation. Loghain did say she was trained in combat, to some degree. But other than that, she seems pretty useless in anything outside her, 'comfort zone'.

I could easily see her taking up arms against King Alistair to reclaim the throne if she's allowed to live and roam free, which is exactly why she wanted to kill him right after you make her queen, if you go that route. I could also see Alistair making a terrible wartime king if he is unhardened, too, and that could exacerbate things further.

Obviously that subplot would not be accessible to everyone if it were to exist (as quite a few people have her as queen), but... I can see her making that cameo. And you may finally give her the murderknife.

Her coming back? sure. Being a companion though? No. She doesn't seem the type to be running around playing hero with you in Orlais, especially not if she is the Queen.

I thought it was very obvious that he sees himself as Alistair's father, and putting Alistair on the throne was his way of, basically, setting up the boy for life.

I'd prefer to see her as an NPC tbh. I thought she was an interesting and highly intelligent character, if not entirely trustworthy.

I like Anora. She only ever betrayed me once, and that was because I betrayed her first. I think she's all kinds of awesome and would love to see her make an appearance in DA:I. I'm not too keen on her being a companion because that would be quite the logic stretch. But as a quest giver? That would be cool.
