I'm all for bringing her back as an NPC, but as a companion... err. Is Anora even trained in combat...?
Yes.

Actually, having an Anora`ish companion could be cool. Not every companion has to be great at fighting. It would be cool if one, or more, was crap at combat but great when it came to dialogue bits of quests and such.
Wouldn't work. A companion like that would be a waste of spot when you're out in combat, unless they got some sort of powerful buff that makes up for it, by increasing the party's abilities, hp, and so on. I get what you're saying though.

No thanks. I would approve if there was an option to kill her to be honest. Never liked her and never will.

The companions are set in stone. There will most likely be no Anora. From what the(unreliable) survey said and from my personal opinion I'm guessing(bear in mind I'm just guessing) that the companions will be
-Cassandra
-Cullen
-Cole
-Kossith Mercenary
-A Tevinter Magister
-Latino female rouge
-Dailish Archer
-A gray warden
That is just my guessing.
I think the chances are low that Anora must be a companion in DA3,i highly doubt it
I'm not saying the companions I gave were set in stone,I'm saying that the devs confirmed that the companion cast is set in stoneUltimashade wrote...

You contradict yourself, this information is not set in stone. It may possibly be true, but it is in no way set in stone.

As delightful as it might be to have hispanic cosmetics as a companion, I'm fairly certain that latinos are not present in Thedas. Of course, only the release of the game will completely clarify that point.

She is one of the few people that survives DAO regardless of what the PC decides. If Alistair is a solo king, then she is imprisoned. She could then be exiled without problem
If she remains Queen or rules Ferelden jointly with Alistair then she could have been overthrown or deicided to find the Sacred McGuffin Mathom of Andraste or something.

Either way, having her available is childsplay.
As a bonus, she brings all kinds of awesome to gameplay. She is machiavellian, brave and intelligent.

Lastly, she would make one heck of a love interest!

My Surana Warden had convinced personality hardened Alistair to become King and marry Queen Anora (which he carried out, even when my Warden spared and recruited Loghain into the Wardens). I don't think it would make sense for either Alistair or Anora to shirk their responsibilities to the throne.mousestalker wrote...

I agree, Anora is an interesting and intelligent character. Her goals to establish a university and refill the royal coffers show that she's a capable leader.mousestalker wrote...

Except the Landsmeet would only recognize a Human Noble (who wasn't a mage) as King, and she's had very bad experiences with her last husband (who cheated on her, and nearly tossed her - and the entire nation - aside for Empress Celene).

Alistar shirked his reposibilities regardless, he went to find his father

Anora WOULD be trained in combat, but she is always either:
1) the queen, I imagine that keeps her a little busy to follow an Orlesian/Chantry representative around and jump when they ask, OR
2) got the deads when Alistair took the throne.
There is ONE possibility (unhardened Alistair ruling) where she is instead imprisoned indefinately. Still not looking any better for her: it's only until Alis gets the nerve to 'deal' with her and she can't be a threat to his birthright.
Basically according to Bioware's analytics, some unexpectedly small number (around half - can't remember if it was 40% or 60%) actually finished the game. Of those that DID, most of THEM only finished it ONCE (usually with a male, warrior, human noble. I wouldn't be surprised if they used the default name/face/portrait/voice too, but the analytics don't show - or rather share - that information, assuming they even gather it).
...what are they odds they played the game in such a way as to meet all the individual requirements for an imprisoned Anora? And if you're not importing, Alis is automatically King (Anora never mentioned, probably dead) - only option in Awakenings (and some would import their Orlesian no doubt), and the first - and therefore inveitably most popular - option in DA2:Exodus.. We would be lucky to get a cameo. They are not spending thousands - voice, modelling, writing, animation - on a character ALMOST ALL players will not ever see. Ever.
