Hello guys,
I'm new to the forum. I bought the Mass Effect trilogy a couple weeks ago. I have finished ME1 & ME2. I bought most of the (important) ME2 DLC except Arrival, Overlord, and some weapon/appearance packs. I'm contemplating buying those too. However I'm going to start my ME3 playthrough soon, and I see that ME3 has a lot of expensive DLC.
Buying the rest of the ME2 DLC and the ME3 DLC would set me back about 45€. I've been searching arount a bit and there seems to be no discounts on DLC ever. However the Bioware-points have been known to get a discount in the past. Does anyone have any idea if this might be the case during this Christmas? Origin store says all games will have a 50% discount on Christmas day, but I wonder if that includes Bioware-points.
Any help would be appreciated. I'm holding off on playing ME3 for now. I would like to play the rest of the ME2 DLC and have the ME3 DLC when I start ME3. However if the Bioware-points aren't going to get a discount I will have to pick the most important DLC as I don't have the money to buy everything.
Greeting
RJA
Can I expect a Bioware-points discount during the holidays?

Going from past experience, the Bioware points go on sale when all the DLC are finished. It would be nice to have sale now, but its unlikely.

How can all the DLC for both Mass Effect and Dragon Age be finished at the same time? Those are the games that use Bioware points.

Srry I meant for a particular game. When all of the ME2 DLC was released, the Bioware Points went on sale.
Assume same practice for ME3.

Hmm seems like you are right. It looks like everything on Origin is for sale, except Bioware points.

Maybe there is a thread already, or this could be it. A place to which all of us could subscribe, and once someone notices a discount - they would post here instead of creating a new thread. This way we all have a smaller chance to miss it. Seeing as origin did a 24h sale before, this makes me check origin every day, type "points" in the store search and look, just to find once again, that no discount exists.

I'm also hanging out for a sale on bioware points, but not holding my breath.
And on the outside chance such a sale happens, it will probably be the US only, which has happened in the past.

Two dlc's would be acceptable with me, but I recently got the trilogy, and would like to buy all the story DLC's for ME2 and ME3, that's about 4000 BW points + stock for 1 (~1200) (or more depending on expectations for upcoming DLC count). That comes to about $80-$100..
Somehow this grinds my gears, especially comparing to current discounts available at a certain origin competitor.
Edit: I wonder if this thread became popular with 50+ pages, would it be noticed by anyone who can affect a discount?

Yes, the fact that DLCs are discounted at other places and not on Origin is a real downer for me. I got ME3 just yesterday but the DLCs will cost me 3 times what the actual game cost me. No way I can buy them at this price.

This is like, my least favorite thing about Origin. No awesome Steam sales where things are dirt cheap.

would be great, other wise i do not think I will buy ME3 DLC, i have bought all DLC for ME1 (only had 1 for sale), ME2, Dragon Age 1. At full price but I do not think I will buy ME3 ones unless the next one is so dam amazing, even then I think i will wait for a sale, it wont happen but I will wait for it

They could at least discount Pinnacle Station and ME2 DLC.
It's still oddly expensive for such an old game. And it sucks for those who pick it up late, given how some of the DLCs like LotSB really enrich the game.
