Killing Anders was a big decision?
i was looking for that option every time he opened his whiney mouth.

So if Bioware retcons him back into the story? you can be damn certain: i won't use him, i won't talk to him, and i'll get rid of him the moment i can (unless, of course, they fail in the character skills like in DA2, and force you to use anders as the only viable healer).

Yeah staff said he ain't coming back from the dead but if for some reason they lied well, it has more standing than Leliana's cured decapitation

Hawke just hit him for over 9000 points of damage. backstab, critical and spine separation. Besides he was with out party so... he died.

That would be a very annoying line of reasoning.  It's not like my Hawke wouldn't have chopped of his head for convenient display if they'd had the opportunity.

(Not out of malice, just a convenient thing to point to when people are blaming the wrong guys)

Yeah its better to assume that Hawke was far more thorough with Ander's death. It would make since she has killed plenty of Abominations.

 Am I the only person who actually really likes Anders character?!  I thought the character development from pre-Justice Awakening to post-Justice DA2 was awesome!  My Hawke totally romanced him and then ran off with him at the end of the game to be his fugitive girlfriend.  Also, she supported the mages in the final battle, and took little issue with Anders inciting actions.  After all, they had been killing people the entire game.  Anders decision to blow up the Chantry, all be it radical, was par for the course.  As an apostate mage, my version of Hawke was well-aware that something needed to happen in order for the Circles to fall.  Also, the Chantry is full of crap.

Mr. Gaider must be a Anders hater. He must be posessed by a demon; a pride demon or something.... or pro Templar. Anders was one of the best charecters in the game. It's a shame to let this charecter go down the toilet.

But then again, so was Leliana. And Zevran. And the only explanation we've recieved so far, for Leliana at least, is "We'll have an explanation later. Stamp your feet all you want."

The Dragon Age writers don't seem to be constrained by things like life and death, so maybe we'll see all characters who died in previous DA games, along with every other video game character who's ever died period. Inquisition looks big enough to hold them all.

The only problem I have with DA2 Anders is that he's a walking issue. No matter that I agreed with him most of the time, his monothematic conversations got a little annoying. Otherwise, the thousand-page-long thread about him on the DA2 forum is testament to the fact that he's a great character. I have a femHawke who romanced him - and then killed him because she felt he wanted to die to become a martyr to the mages' cause.

However, great or not, if he was killed in DA2 he shouldn't come back.

Anders is still a great character. I do hope Gaider reconsider the idea of bringing him back. I will miss his banters between a pro templar/chantry charecter.

Can you imagine Anders and Cassandra going at it? It would be a popcorn chewing moment
