Right now I'm about 60 40 that there will be no new and significant ending content (Leviathan doesn't count as it only adds one or two lines and has little effect after the conversation w the catalyst). Personally I'm a bit surprised as a skeptic that its not closer to 90 10. Still the no mp, no tali romance, and various other quotes makes me think its official policy  to shoot down all rumors regardless of validity and there's to much money in further ending dlc content as well as ce sales when the product matures.

still the conspiracy theory hurts because no matter what bipoware says a decent amount of people won't believe them even if what they say is true.

Haven't visited the forums in months, but decided to chime in here. I hold out some small hope that they would do something with the endings with the last DLC, even though I know that they almost certainly won't. I haven't touched the game since the EC came out, and unless the last DLC surprises me I won't be touching it again any time soon.

Do I expect the next dlc to be ending related? I guess that depends on what you'd call 'ending related'. Something that gives the star kid a few more lines of nonsense to spew would be ending related but that's not what most people are looking for. I don't expect the dlc to be ending related anyway.

Would I like it to? Yes and no. While I would love an actual ending change (not more extended garbage like the EC gave us) that actually fixes it, I am not convinced bioware is even still able to create something that resembles a proper game. Perhaps if they put the people responsible for Tuchanka or Rannoch in charge assisted by those who wrote awesome character arcs like Liara's or Garrus' then the dlc may actually be really good.

As it is though...I have little faith in bioware's ability to get back on track...

I heard a good argument that people who buy DLC this late in the game are people who really love the world. So the question is, do the people who really love the world talk about it on BSN or somewhere else?

another dlc or final dlc rather, would not specificlly address the ending. I think it might be an opportunity for them to put the worm on the hook for ME4, maybe drop some major hints. Other then that it would just be another dlc which happens to be the last one.

Nope.

It will never happen.

I want it to. I would love to see a real ending to this wonderful series. But it won't happen.

I've done some research into this majority phenomenon, and at least as far as the BSN is concerned, there have been roughly about 9000 new posts in the last week in the Mass Effect 3 story forum. This game sold over 4 million copies. So, I'd say BSN is the vast minority. Kind of debunks that whole "BSN is the majority of the fanbase" thing some have been saying. Or the vocal ones are the only ones who they listen to.

It doesn't debunk anything. The BSN is a fairly large sample size of players. I'd wager a lot of others share our dislike of the ending.

This.

If BioWare released the metrics and data they had we would know I think

It won't be post ending, but I am predicting it will at least affect the ending in some way.

No.

The sooner people realize this isn't some mastermind plan from BioWare (I like the IT for the record) and just the culmination of poor writing, the sooner people will realize not to support BioWare so blindly.

I would love it but not counting on it, assuming it is the final one. At least I just hope it's character driven. I don't need any more explanations just feels at this point

Well there is "giving more context" like in leviathan and there is changing the actual last 10 minutes by adding scenes or content.

Bioware has sated before that they will not drastically alter the endings but may add to them in a way similar to Leviathan. I still think this gives them enough leeway to make some fans a little happier with the ending of Shepard's story.

I would be surprised if the final DLC does not add something to the endings.

Throw in a LI reunion like what MEHEM did, and those who thought Shepard deserved better go away feeling "Yes! We did it!"

That doesn't fit the theme of the third game. It's a war story, where billions of lives have been extinguished by Reapers, not to mention has a ton of dark content.

Thank God we have the story and the ending in the hands of professional writers.

But it's totally fine that Normandy flies in at the last minute to evacuate your two squadmates.

Yes the new DLC will add a single new conversation option, which you can Youtube for Free instead of paying $16.00 for it.

This is Shepard's Refusal Ending speech from the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut.

Commander Shepard said...

I fight for freedom. Mine, and everyone’s. I fight for the right to choose our own fate. And if I die, I’ll die knowing that I did everything I could to stop you. And I’ll die free.

And it still bothers me to this day that this is followed by the Catalyst saying... The cycle continues... And then?... Nothing.

Shepard just stays there. Frozen. And you hang to the controller, press the damn buttons, scream: Shepard, snap out of it! Let's fight some Reapers! But at this point the controls were removed from the player. BioWare now has control and that's all there is to it.

If there's one, one single reason why I'm still here is because I choose to believe that change will come. I don't care about what's been said, what others think, anything. I expect an upcoming DLC to be Ending Related, in fact I expect it to Change the Ending.

My Shepard hasn't given up yet. kapow!

Wouldn't it be awesome if Harbinger's voice came though and just said "Assuming Control" lol?

At this point, I'm just hoping ME3 goes out with a bang. Hope is the last to die, or so they say.

Something like this?

On a more serious note: one can only hope. But at this point, for whatever reason, I really think Bioware is committed to their course. I can only hope for the Dragon Age fans that Bioware learned something from this whole mess. Maybe that IP can still be saved.

My vote was No, But I Want It To. Is it really so hard to add an extra ending or two?

Man… I admire your optimism. I guess you’re right and must of us still hang around here because there is still that glimmer of hope that (contrary to common believe) BW will change the ending.

But that aside, I don’t think this DLC will change anything. I hope I’m wrong, but there…
