It be nice if E.A and Bioware bring back exploration and vehicles with different vehicles and types. I miss Shepard and characters not having helmets when they are in combat, why don't most species have helmets equipped? I think they should return and add those features. I know menu people dislike them. I understand.

Ilike helmets because they make the characters more interesting, cool. I personally don't want to see the face all the time. I think they should return vehicles and exploration, we should have more free roam and exploring. If they can't for Mass Effect hopefully in Mass Effect 4. :)

What do the rest of you think of these features. There should be helmets options for Online and Singleplayer, offline. I know there other features I like to see and hope return.

I wish the style of Mass Effect 1 would return altogether. The 'modernized' feel of the later games takes away from the sci-fi style that made it great.

Return of actual airtight suits and helmets for everyone while outside habitable environments!

I would like more vehicle missions were Shepards controls a turret, and shoots a chasing reaper causing zero damage. That was one of the best parts of the game. There should be an achievement for this.

Agreed. I keep hoping this but then I remember, "EA" and lose hope.

Yup. The reason some of it wasn't popular wasn't because the idea was bad but too much emptiness and same-iness. Should be able to do more now and make it work.

I would have loved flying a few fighter missions ;) but im a space sim fan aswell, a rare genre these days. So im not sure how many people would be interested in something like that.

While the Swtor space battles were entertaining I don't consider them true space sims since they were put on track with the pilot only being able to dodge things as they stay on track.

that just felt so pointless lol would much rather have the return of the Mako type exploration like in ME1 but a bit more refined

on foot exploration is better and no helmets where practical - in a character driven game you really need to see their faces.

Foot exploration on uncharted planets is no way practical since there are no roads and path so vehicle is much better. Plus the no helmet is good as long is realistic with story like in ME1 where you can toggle helmets and they will be imposed on you only when you are inside places without air or atmosphere. Not like ME2 or ME3 where helmets are imposed in any case if you want to use some specific pieces of armor.

Damn...I can't choose if I want the return of the style of Mass Effect 1 or Mass Effect 2. They're both just equally impressive.

I think a good compromise would be that it all comes down to regulations.

Sure some people can use mass effect fields to retain the air around them, but just say that alliance(or other military group) regulations require that hard suits be used.

That would give missions a better classic ME feel, and bioware could still keep their way of putting people out into hard vacuum.

Personally, I'd stick with the hardsuit every time

About helmets - in ME3 you can go into options menu, then gameplay and then set helmets to ON. You can do it separately on squadmates and on Shepard. Just saying.

I loved vehicle exploration...in ME1 you did feel that you are tiny and the world is BIG. Loved the freedom, walking around big citadel etc. Even the elevators were great (slooooow) but you did get the felling that the world is one part, without loading screens :) I really hope that it will be back.

But for Shepard, it's only in cutscenes. Gameplay, you have them regardless.

I'm cool with squadmates having unique 'iconic' looks that differentiate them from other characters, rather than having copy-pasted armor that the entire squad wears.

I just wish those unique 'iconic' looks didn't involve exposed flesh and helmetless armor.

Take Liara and Javik as examples. Both of their default armors are fine, they're just missing helmets.

But not all squadmates have helmets. Image IPB
