Only short hair selection, mute PC, multiplayer affecting single player, ugly armors and clothing.

No voiced PC and no buy..

I can't play through a story and completely enjoy it, if the character is a boring mute with little to no personality. No it wasn't my Warden, no I didn't like him. I was more into the characters around me that -were- voiced. I could've done without the Warden. Hawke was awesome though. :P

If it turns out to be another ME3, then absolutely no. Everything else, I will wait and see. No first day buy anyway, DA2 tought me a lesson.

Speechless Warden was the dullest character I ever played in a BioWare game.
@Ukki: Do you even own ME3? It is a fine game, certainly a lot better than ME2 or DA2, even if the ending could still be better.

Duller than Speechless Baalspawn or Speechless Revan?

Really depends what you're looking for.  ME3 fell short of ME2 and even DA2 in a lot of ways for me, but in other ways it far surpassed them.  Overall I'd say it goes ME2 < ME3 < DA2 for me.

Actually, yes. The "Origins" seemed like such a good idea, but it actually means your character has no background. Because Bioware couldn't take anything for granted, Speechless Warden has is a bit of a tabula rasa. Revan has quite the background (and that's also true for BG character) and it defines the character, it makes Revan more believable as a person. In DAO, you're the "Warden", which can mean a lot of things and therefore usually doesn't mean anything. Play DAO as a Cousland, the Landsmeet will make no sense. You are part of the nobility and you are treated as "the Warden"?! The character's background is nothing more as a bunch of additional dialogues, as few as possible, because dialogues cost money. The landsmeet would have to be radically different, depending on the Origin, yet it isn't. And that's just the most important example. DAO is still a great game, though.

If they got rid of programmable tactics for companions I'd be pretty disappointed. A combination of that and horrible reviews might prevent me from buying it altogether, or at least not before the price has dropped considerably.

If DA3:I will be FPS then it will be no buy for me. Or JRPG :P But yeah, OP, no DA3 for you then.

I've gotta agree with Sacred Fantasy, having a voiced PC is fine if you don't care whether or not it is YOUR character, which is also okay depending on the type of game. I love Mass Effect for example (including the third one) but I never felt I was anything but along for the ride with Shepard, and the VO is the biggest reason for that. For that reason, aside from the fact that I can't stand male Hawke's voice, I want a voiceless PC in a game where I'm supposed to create the main character.

A "mute" option for PC would be sufficient, and it isn't a deal breaker, but it does change the feeling of the game more from my character to watching a someone that's pre-made.

I would say cartoon combat is a deal breaker for me however, since it was with DA2.

I will buy regardless

it would be nice to have Jo Wyatt be the lead voice

it was nice hearing her voice in ME3 even if it was for only a few lines

If Bioware could show a little discretion with the voiced PC, I wont mind. Think ME1 rather than ME3/DA2. Unfortuately, that probably wont be the case.

This, this, this, this and this!^

Anime was cool in the 90's and not in fantasy environments. It's SO fricking out of place in a 2010+ fantasy game that it's untrue.

It's like trying to fit a Sunday choire service break into the middle of Wrestlemania. It just doesn't work.

Also, just looked through some vids of Hawke in DA:2 and it really highlighted to me just how much a poorly voiced protagonist dragged the game down. I can barely watch the vids tbh.

If it will explode my Xbox and kill me I won't buy it. Otherwise it's pretty certain I will.

I'm not doing a pre-order again, that's for certain. I want to try the demo first. And, let me tell you, if it's a large, Diablo 3-like demo with half an act with it, and it's good, I'll buy it without hesitation - simply because it'll be a good story and I'll want to know what's next. (If it does require a constant internet connection, though, I'm out - not playing Diablo 3 because of this reason, it's slow as hell).

No. A voiced PC is what is crucial for me to form a connection to that character, so it is my character. Just because you need a mute to feel like the character is yours doesn't make it universally true.

You mean three dialogue options that are actually identical, and have your PC say the same thing no matter what you pick?

What if the CD is made out of dog faceas? lol. Seriously though, I'm surprized at how many people are willingly prepared to spend money on a product which could be utter dross, without even looking into it first.

Pre-orders, for all entertainment media not just games or BW games, baffle me.

I see where you are coming from but no Bioware game I have bought (exept BG1, my copy seams to be buged as hell) have disappointed me in any major way, so based on that a pre-order dont seams so unreasonable.
What this says about my taste in games we should not dwell on...

Lol.

I just think that it allows game companies to adopt an attitude that it's OK to cut corners on certain things because, regardless of the outcome, if other things are done right and put in place a lot of people will pre-order anyway.

Certainly I think game quality would improve if there was no pre-order system. I know that if I'd already earnt several million before even releasing a product I really wouldn't give a toss how polished or good that product was on release.

Hence the stupidly abundant amount of games which are released with bugs and needing patches, right off the bat. Players should be more patient for releases, but game companies should take more pride in their work too IMO.
