Heya, here's another graphic bug in cutscene.



While my Human Noble female was wearing the Soldier's Heavy Helm (Steel) .. it did not show up in the dialogue with Alistair when he asks to kiss me ...



But when they move to do so the helm goes on!



Poor dear ... that must have hurt!

In Denerim if you kill the bandits for the Chanters Board quest "Back Alley Justice" before you actually take the quest you will never be able to finish it.



The quest will become stuck on the board unable to be accepted (even though it becomes marked as if you have accepted it) and you will not be rewarded for killing the bandits.

Iunno what happened, but halfway through "Nature of the Beast" quest line, any allied member I didn't directly control just stood around doing nothing, and in combat they wouldn't engage anything unless the enemy came right up to them. The pooch just stopped engaging enemies entirely.

i have been checking when i see them do it and 99% of the time they are trying to activate a toggle; warcrys,taunts, and battlecrys seem to do it the most but i have seen the shield cover do it too. seems to get worse the more tactic slots you use for toggles in my experince.

Looked into that too, it's not the issue sadly. They just stopped doing anything passively, like their AI got turned off or something. If a creature moves away from them that they're engaged in with combat, they don't follow the monster unless I tell them to do so again. They do not use any of their special abilities unless I tell them to, if combat begins, they just stand wherever they are, and occasionally draw their weapons, but they don't pursue the enemies nor use any abilities. About the only thing that seems to work is if they have a ranged basic attack they occasionally engage the enemy.

Otherwise it's just me juggling away manually telling them what to do constantly. Which honestly ain't that bad, I like the micromanaging, but it's annoying that they don't follow whatever character I have as primary when i want to walk around using wasd. Have to keep them all selected and move around with mouse clicking. :P

Bugs so far:



Had multiple crashes to desktop in the Darkspawn invasion section of the fade trying to use 'Hurl' game froze then dropped to desktop



The Arcane Horror in the Dalish ruins (where you go down the stairs and he is down the second set.. you can stand at the bottom of the right staircase and fireball him to death and all he does is jump in the air.. he doesnt summon the undead nor does he cast back at you.. methinks he needs a better staff range ;)



Restoring the circle quest in the tower on normal difficulty is ludicrously easy in many spots with Sten, Alistair, Wynne and yourself as a mage. all 10th or lower.. also whats the point of having a locked chest if all that is in it is a lesser mana potion? loot tables sem really low (then again, it WAS fairly easy)



The sections of the fade other than the three more powerful demons all were fairly easy to whip in Golem mode.. most of their minions cant even scratch you.. Winter's grasp seems especially effective to help with this.. The golems aren't immune to knock down from the stomp skill

*Xbox 360* First awesome idea for a thread.

Bugs:

Rally occasionally poofs off (Champion sustainable group buff) whenever you zone or a cutscene happens.

If you die and are rezzed/combat ends you no longer receive the effects of any group buffs on. (At the time I had on Courageous Song and Ice weapons). The rest of your group receives the effects but you don't. You need to manually cancel the song, wait for the cool down, and put it back on.

Frilda (Sp?) in orzammer continues to have a turn in icon over her head after telling her of her insane son and her promise to go find him.

Edit: The oak tree in the forest does this aswell.

In the magic circle's tower, after getting the quest from Dagna to get her accepted and talking to the first enchanter and getting him to agree, she appears in the students rooms in the tower with a turn in Icon. After turning the quest in she can now be found in the Orzammer and the Tower, but only comments on how great the tower is.

After picking H-whatever (forgot his name) as king of Orzammer, the battle ensues in the court room. I instantly cast tempest on the whole room, and proceeded to slaughter the baddies. After the battle was done though I wasn't able to talk to the king, or get a cutscene to appear. After awhile I tried talking to the steward but he only ran the pre-battle cutscene over and over. Had to reload to fix it.

Minor bug, Sometimes if I have my dual daggers out on my rogue before a cutscene, she keeps them out and than is frozen like that battle or not. (The daggers sheathe but her hands stay in the same place). This is fixed by removing a dagger, unsheathing the remaining one and sheathing it again, than reapplying the removed dagger.

Most important thing I'm hoping for is the dagger fix for the 360 to come in a timely fashion :)

Things I'd like to see in a future patch? If they have the time some more aesthetically pleasing armors/helms would be nice :) mostly robes and leathers seem to be lacking in visual quality.

One of the dialog lines of the old woman cleric inside the Redcliff Chantry has no voice over. If I remember correctly its one of the last lines of dialog she says after you complete the quest related to making blessed pendants for the knights before the zombies attacks.



Journal bug in Orzammar. "The First Task" quest for Bhelin stays in the active journal forever. What happened is I accepted both Harrowmont and Bhelin's First Task quest, but totally ignored Bhelin's and finished Harrowmont's quest line, crowning him king.

I'm fairly positive that isn't a bug; either the staff was confiscated from my character, or I willingly handed it over to the First Enchanter.

Bugs:



1. After I got shale into my party and finnished the mage tower he bugged out and all i got whenever i talked to him was the option to activate him with the "Duelgar var" or w/v it was (the first password you get from a merchant before you pickup shale), and the graphics got bugged and i had to reload game in order to be able to play



2. Momentum keeps shutting off every once in a while if i zone (dosn't always happen)



3. you can "lock" the high dragon outside andraste's urn near the ruins with a few chests inside it, making it unable to move / fly up into the air so it's easy to just pelt down with arrows



4. the quest "Cammen's lament" in the dalish elf camp got bugged when i offered to get him a pelt, it stayed active but whenever i talked to him i simply got some text popping up above his head saying "I don't want anything to do with you anymore!"



5. when in the alienage i did the quest for the templar (enter the orphanage and clear it out), at one point (near last room) i got locked inside a room, the templar walked inside the room and called out a demon, once demon died he tried to call it out again but nothing happened and i had to reload, also he once died for me and i couldnt not finnish the quest.



6. when playing as a dwarf commoner i never got my dragon blood armour.



7. Shale's skills "dissapeared" and when i hovered with my mouse over them they were just blank pages, it resulted in shale just standing there pumping his hands trying to cast a stance, i had to reload a few times before the problem got "solved" and he got his skills back



8. after having finnished Wynne's sidequest and got 100 approval with her she still never gave me the option to become a spirit healer as a mage



9. when you work for Bhelen or Harrowmonth you can get both their starter quests, then the one you choose not to do will stay active for the rest of the game.



Balance issues / borked encounters:



1. Not a bug persay but Flemeth you can simply stay at range to kill, place a tank with fire resist gear just infront of the ledge of her and have him taunt etc and the fight is ridicilously easy even on nightmare, i used 1 lyrium potion and 2 health poultries when i used shale as a tank



2. aggro in general seems kinda borked, as a rogue i lost count on how many fights i won by running around in a circle and just stun / stab and run again until the mob eventually died, ogres / Loghain being the "best" ones to give as example on how it can break the difficulty



unsure if it's a bug or "working as intended":



1. I've unlocked the silver tongued achivement (succeed in 25 difficult persuasive encounters or w/v), however i lack the achivement for succeeding in 5 of them



2. I've unlocked the achivements for getting 1-2 specializations on main char, however i don't have them (i've unlocked them twice this far)



3. when dualwielding axes i still "stab" with them as if they're a pair of daggers, same goes for any finnishing blow (say on ogres), you "stab" them with your axe, it looks really odd.



4. when unlocking a specialization i thought it was supposed to unlock it for all "next playthroughs" this haven't happened on anything exept duelist for me this far (and that only happened after i unlocked it in two different playthroughs in two different ways)



5. Revenants can be frozen, but they are immune to cold damage also their "pull" ability uses stamina and not mana? (mana clash didnt work on them)



6. Whenever i stealth as a rogue and end up in a forced chat-dialogue i get thrown out of stealth, even if i don't say anything, it's pretty annoying when you try to stealth into a fight, then get forced out of it and you can't restealth (until later lvls) - if a enemy stealth while your casting a long-casting spell on them, you still hit them with the spell.



7. when i stealth as a rogue and walk "outside" the buffrange of say, rally, once my team catches up to me and i get inside the range again it decloaks me (pretty annoying when trying to sneak around)

I reloaded my pre-ending save where and decided to go another route and let Alistair sacrifice himself and kill the Archdemon. The interactive sequence after this was fine and everyone acknowledged Alistair was indeed dead.



After I exited the castle to meet the ecstatic townfolk the post-ending text began explainign the events.



Here it said that Anora and Alistair lived and ruled together although Alistair was in fact dead. Also, after all the text while loading the post-ending savegame, Alistair was still selectable as a team member.

Having both the skill books for mage and warrior/rogue in your inventory, makes both of them unable to be used.

In the orphanage where you are supposed to have an uneasy feeling marked on the map. I have to reload or quit ever time and still nothing happens. The boss in the last room is also bugged forcing a save, quit reload to get her to spawn.

Sleeping targets sometimes resists horror, or walking nightmare. it must be bug. There is nothing written about it in codex or elswhere.

And codex entries on characters is sometimes incorrect. For instance: I sacrificed Isolde, but my codex says that Circle of Magi saved her son.

I have an ending bug.

I chose Anora to be queen and had Alistair execute Loghain. Everything seemed to be fine until I spoke to Alistair and he acted like he was going to be king. I noticed that everyone else also referenced Alistair as the soon to be king. Alistair also gave the speech to the troops instead of whoever else was supposed to do it (the Queen, the Arl?). After the battle the Queen makes a comment about honouring the fallen Wardens, including Alistair, but he is standing right beside her (I took Morrigan's offer). However despite this, the ending still refers to Anora being queen and Alistair alive and well.

I also have a codex bug. It said I sacrificed Isolde, when I didn't. I found that a bit odd.

I've noticed a few "bugs" with quests.



After I traded for the acorn and gave it back to the Oak Tree, I was able to get the quest to kill the Oak Tree, but I can't interact with the tree at all. Am I even supposed to be able to get that quest?



The Smuggled Lithium(?) quest when I bring it to the guy hiding in the closet, he keeps ending the dialog and disappearing. I have to leave the floor and come back to get him to reappear. After telling him "Talk to me with a serious offer" I am unable to further the quest as I only have the option to select "I'm just saying hi".



When I was stealthed with Zan in the Wyrmling cave, I triggered combat and the mage started to chase me. None of the other bad guys moved and he ran up to me and was stuck in a running animation following my everystep around the cave. Once I decloaked he began attacking me like normal.

After going into the Fade and defeating the demon, thereby saving Arl Eamon's whole family, my journal still claimed that Isolde sacrificed her life to save her son. (edit: aha! soda_mousse ninja'd me. sorry about that)

Tears of Andraste
Upon completion of the final stage of Crime Wave, I chose the option of turning in the Tears to the Chantry on my own, but regardless of where I went I was unable to find any place to do so.

Many of the epilogues are bugged and don't correspond with how things turned out in game, most often the ones involving who became king/queen and surrounding details.

In the AI tactics, it is possible to "lock up" companions so they essentially stop even moving.



If you set their tactics to :"Target: Alistair [or any other party member] : Rejuvenate [any buff]": and then remove alistair[ or the respective party member], eventaully that companion will lock up on that part and not do anything else.
