Found a bug with the save Connor quest-if you use lyrium the codex say you used blood magic and vis-versa. Everything else is fine, Connor's mom is still around with lyrium or dead with blood magic correctly, just the codex is messed up.

I'm fairly positive that isn't a bug; either the staff was confiscated from my character, or I willingly handed it over to the First Enchanter.

I'd forgotten that I told Irving he could have it back, and upon replaying and choosing that same option the staff was gone as soon as I appeared in Ostagar. Next time I think to check it I'll lie or something to see if the staff stays.

New bugs I've seen:

- The statue near the Halla pen in the Dalish Camp (not origin area) always highlights for info after you've already gleaned information from it, unlike all other statues/religious symbols in the area. However, it doesn't do anything when clicked on after the initial codex entry.

- Allison in Lothering can be exploited (Traps are a Girl's Best Friend): do her quest like normal, click on her again to get a barked "thank you", then click on her once more - her dialog tree will reappear. If you make three more spring traps she will take them, give you 50s and XP as if completing the quest for the first time. You can repeat this for as often as you can make three spring traps. I just gained a level (was close to leveling) by burning up roughly 12 triggers doing this.

- Update on stuck-on-stairway glitch: happens at the top step of many stairways, not just circle tower, and doesn't care what class/gender/size your controlled character is. I've lost count of the number of times I've had to move side to side to finally get up the last step on a stairway.

Not a bug per se, but I think it's inconsistent: Alistair gripes about Morrigan joining the party but doesn't lose approval over it (actually gains 3 approval from the conversation with Flemeth); however he has a pissy fit when I invite Shale, no matter what option I choose (persuasion doesn't help). I guess by then he figures the Grey Wardens no longer need additional help, which was his justification for Morrigan. And this was after reading Wilhelm's journal to learn that the Golem was under demonic control when it killed Wilhelm (sadly I'm not allowed to bring that up in any conversation).

The "Piece of Wood" and "Final Reason" staffs are not flagged Mage Only so anyone can wield them.

Berzerker Specialization: the sustained "aura" or whatever it is won't stay on. Seems to turn off at random basically depriving you of your extra damage and making the talent points useless.

That's not a bug, the "Berserk" sustained talent can only be turned on during combat and turns off when you exit it. You're supposed to reenable it everytime you start up combat again.

The real bug is that "Rally" from the Champion spec turns off everytime you zone into a new area.

I brought dog to fight Flemeth. During the fight, Flemeth would just stare at the dog for about 15-20 seconds at a time and then find a way to start attacking again. I'd like to think I found some secret weakness of hers, like she is hesitant to hurt animals or something gay (happy) like that, but I was only able to beat her because I found a helpful bug.

Bugs I've encountered: (playing human noble)

*In the cutscene where Lord Harrowmont gets crowned with the crown Caradin made, the crown floats around in the air instead of sitting on Lord H's head. Looked a bit silly.

* First time I entered the alienage in Denerim I took a few steps and then game crashed to desktop. Though it's possible that has nothing to do with the alienage area and was just because I had played for many hours.

* The bonus dlc necklace you get from Dragon age: Journeys doesn't give any of it's resistance bonuses.

* When playing the dwarf noble origin, you lose all your dlc bonus items (including the piece of dragonblood armor) when you get inprisoned.

And allready mentioned:
*Not getting the reward for turning in the golem registry to the shaper in Orzhammar.

* bugs in the questline for chosing whom to support in the election for king in Orzammar. Most notable for me was when after I killed the crime boss for Lord Harrowmont, I got a quest update for the Bhelen side, saying I should now plant the evidence against Lord H. This I could also do (plant the evidence) even though I hadn't even got the quest and thus hadn't got any "evidence" to plant either.
The first quest for Bhelen also stays on the list of active quests even after you've killed him! (that is after talking about the first quest with Bhelen's contact person, but neither accepting nor decline it and then chosing to work for Lord H instead.

And lastly, probably not a bug, but NO random ancounters when traveling the deep roads! That just didn't feel right. Shouldn't the deep roads be filled with darkspawn, making it pretty much impossible to move any longer distance without encountering at least some small groups of them?
If it's not a bug, that is something I would like to see added - random encounters in the Deep roads.
Edit: A request: When you prefer to micromanage your characters in combat, like I do, the combat tactics skill gets pretty useless. It would be nice if it also gave some small bonus, like survival gives some nature resistance, to get a reason to pick the skill. When I got Wynne to join she allready had combat tactics maxed out and that felt like a total waste.

dont know if it s been mentioned did nt read all the 4 pages , but the elven boots that are supposed to be in the Lothering chantry cabinet are not in there , also there are mobs who are flashing but you cant loot them

edit: Dwarf commoner also lose their Blood dragon armor when they get imprisoned i had to disable it then reload the game and earlyer today i had to redo again because my chest was missing but i had all other parts

1. dead mobs that are not tagged as dead rendering devour skill nearly useless in many situations.

2. Haste doesn't increase attack speed with momentum turned on. Slows down attack speed instead

3. Swift salve doesn't increase attack speed with momentum turned on. Slows down attack speed instead.



4. Able to obtain 2x morrigan rings. (after getting her approval up and still in romance, when she gets jealous of other relationships ie. leliana, say u will ditch the others, she will give u the ring. Initiate dialogue again, she will have a gift for you again, resulting in another ring)



5. Able to have both Morrigan and Leliana in romance options (Is this a bug)

bug in Ozammar main story quest. I started those quests. On the arena before last battle i went to complete bhelen quest. I almost did it but when i want to complete it, commes that Im already on harrowmont side :( And now i have two more quests something like "change sides" and i cant speak to bhelen or harrowmont, because first quests not finished

When Alistair is asking you to bed, some of the lines result in your PC doing a kissing animation while he stands there rubbing his hands by the fire and he clips through you. The music for kissing before going to the bedding cutscene overlaps with the music for the bedding cutscene.

Somehow I got a noble's outfit in my inventory in Orzammar that looks fine on a male party member but on a female it is all yellow with no texture and a line of text on it that says "Do not use". :P

*The toolset is overall very unstable (some times i can post to local and do path finding and some times it just crash).

I have a major Lag-bug, where in some fights all command/talent-animations are shown, but the effects(i.e. a Spell-Ward shows off too late on the ground) arecoming too late.
That is annoying, because the enemys are still dealing normal damage with standard attacks and the heal-spell wont work till its too late.

(Note: maybe this is connected with the Memory-Leak bug?)
On Nightmare it annoys the brambles out of me *g

I also encountered two "Oghren-disappears-from-the-group" bugs.

One time in a random encounter against Dwarven-mercs Oghren wasnt in my group; so i had to fight with 3 characters against them all.



The second one happened after the queens rescue when i got captured.

At the end of the fortress when your group wants to "save" you, Oghren was again missing.



Is this a bug, or did Oghren drink too much and couldnt fight? ^^

I played a female mage and got the codex entry for recognition of a son i didn't have in the Dwarf city after playing kingmaker. (You failed to have your son recognized as a noble...)

many of the spec actives are "bugged" like that. the only one sofar that i have seen that is not is duelist. most turn off when you zone, open inventory, talk to somebody etc... its highly annoying.

Weird bug.



City Elf origins, romanced leliana, talk to shanni in the alienage, she will mention your wedding, leliana will go"you're married?!" when u reply her, the next scene is distorted and there are no subtitles, just have to pick 1 of 3 responses. Really wanted to know what was her reaction to finding out.

*BALANCE ISSUE*curse of mortality: sucks? havent found a use for this, the damage is pathetic with high cost and long cooldown.


Without looking through the entire thread I just wanted to point out this one.

Curse of Mortality is used to shut-down healers. Especially in Nightmare this can make a fight against a mage so much easier as they cannot heal themselves with it.

Stack this with other spells as well and you see the damage is similar. Virulent Bomb spells being a good example. You can sucessfully shut-down any healing they may recieve.

I loved this spell. Definetly somthing good to pick up.

-Sten, being far to great for standard rending technology, lags my system when I start conversation He will speak his getting dialogue, then the whole screen freezes for about a second, then the dialogue options come up.

Worst bug I've encountered so far: I executed Loghain during the Landmeet quest but he reappeared during the endgame scene and even became a Grey Warden!!!!! (He also appeared as an invisible party member during the Defending Denerim Gates quest)

subtitles should be at the lower part of the screen and not the top. That way you can see the screen better while you are reading. theres a reason this has always been done in pretty much any game to date, including previous bioware games.



Next to that my game is broken at the prison quite late in the game. my character is captured but his resquers cant talk with him even while the quest marker is above him.

there are subtitles when people are talking??? Do I need to turn them on somehow? if so, how do I do that? since Ive got no subtitles at all
