After 6 years of development and almost 1000 hours of work, I finally released my mod "Realities beyond". I'm still waiting for the ftp access on nwvault, but is online now on hte Nexus: http://neverwinter.n...ds.com/mods/241

The mod is bilingual (English/German)

Here's the mod description, copied from my readme file:

After careless experiments with ancient magic, you find yourself stranded in
another realm. The way back home is harder than expected, because this
apparent peaceful kingdom is at the edge of a civil war. Also you have to
choose whose side your on...

- About 900 hours of development and 65 hours of beta testing.
- 3 different but interweaved main plots.
- Large sandbox-style world. Feel free to explore wherever you like. At least
until someone bashes your head...
- No generic NPCs. Each NPC has a different conversation and a different vire
of things. Ask them about the recent events and the history of the land.
- No generic loot.
- New forging and alchemy system.
- Some new creatures and unique items.

required NWN2 version: 1.23, no addons are required.
Starting level: 1; start with a newly created character.
Ending level: 3-4; depending on the performed sidequests, you will reach about
5000-6000 XP.
Duration: Depending on the chosen faction and sidequests, I need 3 to 5 hours
for a walkthough.

The module is a remake of my old NWN1 mod and was planned to be the first
module of a larger Campaign. Regarding the development time of this mod, the
second part would be released when noone remembers NWN2. Thus I will not
continue this campaign, but within the next weeks, I will provide some scripts
such that the unique items of the mod can also be used in other mods.

Have fun with it. Comments and bug reports are highly appreciated :-)

Here's a small teaser image:

As you can see in the combat report, the NWN1 blink dogs are back. Their AI is a little bit improved, they blink away if on low health and attacked, but return as soon as you attack the next of the pack. That means a constant switch of your attack target, or a constant switch between melee and ranged combat.

Thanks Shallina and PJ156.
I'm still waiting for the ftp account, also the preliminary entry on the vault with the link to the Nexus is still under approval. Looks like the vault team is in Christmas holidays, so there might be some more delay.

I enjoy the blink dogs! I tried to make some using a celestial wolf, with the scripts from a phase spider, but don't think it worked out too well. I will check out what you have done here.

Congratulations on the module release, sounds full of intrigue.

PM Rollo Kipp he's the man at the vault and is usually pretty quick. As you say, he might be on his Holidays.

Thanks kamal for the ftp info. Problem is, now I am in christmas holidays, visiting my parents for a few days (I'm currently sitting in front of their PC). And I think I should wait until I get answer from the vault anyway. The entry still needs approval, and I do not want to upload without explicit permission from the vault. As long as my mod is on the Nexus, I think that's no big problem.

Dorateen, if you like my blinkdog scripts, you can use them. Maybe I should tell you that it is not sure that you will encounter them when playing my mod - you must choose the right faction to get that quest.

Just a clarification of the approval proceedure, because this delay highlights one of the issues I'm dealing with.

When you submit a project for approval, I see the title, author, thumbnails (if any) and a big glaring "No Files" sign. Modules without files are (according to the guidelines I have) not supposed to be approved. I don't really have a problem approving them, but I usually wait until the files are uploaded.

In this case, I was waiting for files (either FTP or on the project) and diophant was waiting for *me* :-P

*Please* pm me here (faster) or email me ( rolo AT neverwintervault DOT org) to let me know if you have *any* problems with the Vault.  I can't fix the script deterioration, but i can fix a lot of things.

@ K: Thanks for sending him the FTP info :-) I appreciate it.

@ D: I like what you did with the blink dogs. Haven't played, just looked in the toolset.

<...a level or two>

For those who already played the mod and want to use their character and the found unique items when playing other mods: I added a file RealitiesBeyondItems.7z to the Vault and Nexus site. It contains the tag-based scripts for the unique items of my mod. Just unzip it to your override folder. I got all items working, except for the VFX of the shadow deer cloak (but it still grants concealment).

The mod is now also available at the new vault. That is, there are now three locations where you can download it:
The old vault
The new vault
The nexus
