It's not true because it's entirely unknown what happened. He states the variables are what makes the difference and then doesn't include the variables. It was a blatant lie.

You seem to be saying that Casey promised us we'd know the final fate of every single character in the ME universe. He didn't actually say anything of the sort.

Every single one? No. But the something similar to the DA:O epilogue was due for the council races and the ones you've had a more direct hand in at least. Letting the Rachni live and Curing the Krogan results in you knowing just that much and nothing about what that does to the galaxy. Also the squadmates left on earth, Hammer was getting hit hard, for all I knew Miranda Jack and Zaeed got killed on the battlefield.

These questions were touched upon in the EC for a reason. Now we've got something closer to widely different and not ABC.

All of those were different, being reminded of them at the end doesn't change that, so what he said was the truth. By the end all of your galaxies can be wildly different, even down to small details.

You can imagine them all ending up the same somehow, but that doesn't mean it's true, nor does it mean he was lying.

No they show you the difference instead of leaving it ambiguous, it's not just a reminder of your choice, we now know the Rachni move to Tuchanka if the Krogan die, we see that Jack's students can die or live, this is new info that shows us the implications of our decision not just a reminder of what our decisions were. His statement was false.

No it wasn't. The state of where you leave the galaxy can be vastly different, you even showed that in your post.

It really has to be ending related. Nothing else will really cut it.

If Casey or Mac has visited the BSN even once, they should be able to get a fair idea of what their fans want.

True , not everyone posts on the BSN. Noted...

But it's pretty obvious.

Not really. The Retake movement is currently only 4% of the people who bought Mass Effect in March alone, which is the biggest figure we have for people that hate the ending. 4% is a vast minority.

That doesn't mean those that hate the ending are the minority, but it definately doesn't mean they're the majority. The one thing you can say for sure though is it's not obvious.

You have a look at most threads here for he last 6 months. Their mostly ending related, the reason alot of people are on here and not playing the game is its a way to vent about the s&$!house endings we were given, and not everyone who dislikes the endings are part of retake.. If anyone were to visit here , I think it is very obvious the endings post ec still need some kind of fix.

I (and I know many others too) would WAY more enjoy a DLC that fixes/adds to the ME2 crew's lacking story, romance content and broken characters.

The only thing I can think of as a major DLC that does not retcon the current endings would have to be a Priority Earth expansion. War assets and perhaps expand on the "breath scene" finally putting to rest the ambiguity of the original and have a "rescue / re-union" scene.

Do not know how they are going to explain or if they are going to do so, but regardless this would be the only reason I can think of that would require all character VOs back in the booth.

Essentially we still have the whole Starbrat thing but hopefully a better priority London and Epilogue.

Thoughts?

This would be really great but I don't want to get too excited!

it would be an olive branch / compromise on their part. It won't do away with the "wtf?" nature of the whole situation and very likely be another "Normandy FOB beam charge landing" type of nonsense but its a possibility.

However as many have pointed out, this DLC could just as easily be another "Omega priced" pew pew, with nothing to do with the ending at all.

In fact, it could be a Priority Earth DLC with more pew pew in London, now involving the Collectors (as per re-appearance in MP) and that's about it. VOs are there just to give background performances. /shrugs

No it wasn't, the EC didn't do anything before the ending. The Quarians can die without the EC.

I'd saaayyy... Better wait. Better not get your hopes up and just see it on YT or just browse through this magnificent spoilers everywhere section of the forum before making a purchase. Research first, then buy. That way, you know what you'll be getting anyway.

It is the marketing's job to get people interested in their products by saying positive things about it, so that doesn't really help shed light on the next dlc's theme (or what it is about). It could be a helluva story dlc that can knock your socks off, or just another shooting galery.

Again 3 variables that aren't even acknowledged is not vastly different.

Tell me in which of these did the quarains and Rachni survive and in which ones didn't they, cause I have trouble telling the difference.

Even if the DLC somehow magically fixes the ending (again) it's too little too late imo. The damage has already been done.

Correction, what the whiny brats on the BSN want, which may or may not reflect what the greater fanbase wants or cares about.

You should probably put something in your sig to indicate that you're not actually a pro-ender if you're going to say this sort of thing.
