Funny seeing all the "No's" on here, considering that when I looked it up one of the game developer's commentary was that they made it because the fans wanted it.. *cough* BSN. haha but anyways thanks for posting, I was wondering if I should get it also.

the fans wanted something done with omega .. like a second hub world. dense story, collectors ... not shooting cerberus mooks.

We were hoping for ME2 cameos, a explorable hubworld, choices that matter, and a strong story.

And we really didn't get any of those unfortunately... :(

Mind you, I'm not saying Omega is a poor DLC as it does have some gorgeous vistas, great cutscenes (easily among Bioware's cinematic team's finest), and some good gameplay. Nyreen was legit and Aria's subtle character development was good, but other than that, I don't think I can recommand the DLC especially at $15 as the DLC is pretty much a shootfest to get from Point A to Point B.

It's good but 15 bucks is a lot for what it is.

I'd say no. With 15 bucks I'd buy something on steam (sales!).

I would say yes, but it is probably because I wanted some more combat in ME3, Leviathan would probably be a better choice if you are more into story.

Best answer. You can get a number of great (full) games for that price during the holiday steam sales.

For 1200 points, no it wasn't worth it in my experience. It was decent, but there simply wasn't $15 worth of content.

If it eventually goes on sale at around 800 points or less? Go for it.

Leviathan is a much better gaming experience, and also value for money. Omega is OK, but overpriced. I wonder if they were trying to recoup some of the costs of the EC (knowing how many of us would buy it without asking questions).

To the OP, if you love ME and have the money, I would recommend buying it.

DLC is what it is - not just Omega, but all DLC for pretty much every game out there. Omega is a high quality product, but the price is high. It's not an "expansion pack", more of a "mission pack", but a very high quality one.

For serious Mass Effect fans who were fine with paying full price and preordering ME3, it's a no brainer as it adds a great story to the ME3 world. For people who waited until ME3 was available for $10-20, it doesn't make much sense - better to wait until a GOTY version comes out (if it comes out).

It doesn't add anything fundamental to the ME3 story, but its an excuse to go on a new adventure with shepard and co.

You can always find great games discounted to half the price of this DLC which will give you a lot more play time, but by the same logic you can also say that for the price of Skyrim you could buy the complete STALKER series + the complete Dragon Age series + the complete grand theft auto franchise on sale at steam. The real question is whether a great 3-4 hour new mission in ME3 is worth the price of a movie theater admission to you...

There are of course a lot of the "We H8 Biower for rekking the Mass Effect Universe/my life" folks who bellyache that Thane, Miranda and Jack don't make appearances (even though they'd be dead in a lot of people's playthroughs anyways) and seem to have expected that Bioware would have hired back every cast member from the series to go back into the studio to record lines for this DLC to enable crewmembers to go along for the ride and have meaningful conversations, but that's just unrealistic expectations...

It's much, MUCH better than Pinnacle Station. An actual story (if a light one), interesting characters, some choices to make and the combat is fun :)

For me, it wasn't quite worth 1200. I wouldn't have felt at all aggrieved at paying 1000 for it, but there was not quite enough content for the full 1200. Having said that, of the content that there was, there was a lot to like here - a class-specific interrupt for Engineers, three (at least) different ending flavours. a couple of ways to influence Aria's character, excellent level design, some fantastic moments, an interesting antagonist and really enjoyable combat. Also, the female Turian is great. If combat is something you really enjoy, and you like the character of Aria and the Omega setting, then it may well be something you enjoy. If you aren't bothered about the above, and really want a very rich storyline and a tie-in with the main story/effect on the ending or whatever, then don't bother.

This. Many people (myself included) had these high expectations, so of course we don't think it was worth the money.
But I think I'll need to play the DLC in one go, maybe I'll change my mind then. But at the moment, I don't think the price was warranted.
