Second attempt on this board to get an answer for my question.
I played 2 characters until Lothering. The game works fine until there. When I enter Lothering, I cant leave it anymore, because I just crash when leaving. But, in the process of crashing, all my other saves from this character seem to get destroyed aswell, because no every single save crashes when loading.
Please Bioware release a ****ing patch for this game, I want to finish it at least once!

I had a reliable crash when trying to enter the church. I left to some other area and went about my business, then came back later and got in fine with no problems.

I have a problem entering the church. It's fine until I try to move. I take about one step and then the game freezes. I've tried doing things in a different order but it doesn't help.

I get the same thing, so I always save right before entering... it's a pain!

I am experiencing the same problem when I try to leave the Chantry (game crashes every time). I suppose thats what you get for telling priests to get stuffed when they ask for a donation..

Hi, try lowering your graphics settings prior to the crash point. Once you complete that part of the game, just bring them back up.

I have the same problem. But only after patching it to 1.03.

I had the same problem. I solved it by dramatically lowering all my graphic settings prior to the crash point.
