I am now at the last three main quest from finishing Mass Effect one and Hades Gamma Cluster has yet to appear on the map. Does this mean I have to start the damn game over again? Thanks.

Two of the HGC side quests require high Paragon/Renegade, but some should be available early on: Hostile Takeover, Hostage and Missing Survey Team. Do you have these?
