Old news, I know - a year+ ago, there were 'hackers' that 'convinced' the higher-ups to disolve that old site.  I realize the old forums were a huge blow to many, but I'm currently having some trouble of my own.

Of the many things that the old website had, there were several pages devoted to each game concerning various factoids, seemingly for the purpose of promotion.  Similar to the other games, Baldur's Gate had several pages, one of which was 'Characters'.  Now, it didn't list all the characters - just a few, such as Khalid, Jaheira, Dynaheir, etc. - and only included a brief description and a few facts, such as race, class, etc.  The thing is, I'm 99% sure that this page had Khalid listed as a Fighter/Mage.  This could explain his lackluster stats for a fighter, yet unusually high intelligence.  Also, it's odd/rare to see an elf or half-elf not multiclassed, or/either single classed to such a common denomination as an Fighter - which the racial bonus' don't even compliment.  Not to mention Fighter/Mages are a bit complicated to play for anyone not overly familiar with the game, which could give reason as to why the Khalid we all know and love/hate is a mere Fighter so early in-game.

So, my predicament - I can't find proof anywhere that the devs once thought to have Khalid rolled as a Fighter/Mage.  Does anyone have knowledge of such proof?  Is the original website still accessible somewhere?  Just curious...and TIA.
