Yeah you got Alelyjah (I was about to type this huge post to explain it all haha). Basically i was going to do a bunch of playthroughs with different companion interactions to set them up for expansions and sequels. Since they aren't going to be there, I'm not bothering.

Whisa, a lot of what I'm saying is conjecture. But from the way the expansion is going (new companions instead of old ones, raising level cap) it makes sense, now, that are PC's would not return in a sequel. The level cap would be raised to like 60 or something, which doesn't work with the gameplay. Because of this, I have a few characters I like, and that's it, I'm not going to play through the same ol' campaign (that I have done multiple times now) for different characters that won't even be there in the long run.

For instance: instead of my evil PC walking into a bar in Orlais for a possible quest to help mages, and telling them I killed all the mages in the ferelden circle tower, then being greeted with some reaction of "ooooh, that was you! " I would walk into the bar for a possible quest to help mages, on a different character (say 20 years after origins) and simply say "sorry, not interested". If that makes sense.

Yeah, I got your difference after you clarified your sequel vs. expansion ^^;

but i never expected DA2 to have the same thing. If anything, it'd probably be over 30 years in the future, in which case your warden is dead anyway (if he didn't die already).

Tallon! Hey there cool person,

It's nice, so long as Leliana tells me why we aren't together ::grumble grumble::

You should just tie her up and drag her back lol

I heard from a few people that Leliana left them. I swear she's a tease lol.

Can't wait to kick some darkspawn ass with my nice gear from RTO lol. Duncan's weapons ftw!

Me too.

I was all but crying when I had my sacrifice character.  And everytime I finish with a Morrigan love interest character, I go do something that'll cheer me up 'cause I'm so depressed for them :crying:

Well in my epilogue, she stayed with my Warden "for a time". Some people think that just means you two did whatever you were doing for a time until you had to get back to Grey Warden responsibilities. I always thought it was a break-up, and I best damm well find out why so I can ****** and moan sufficiently at her.

I was hoping in Ostagar I could get Duncan's armor and give it to her, she would look snazzy, ah well, guess I will just give it to the new rogue companion, whoever he/she will be (if it even drops).

My very first playthrough character was a Morrigan love interest. I was so depressed for my character that my dog was looking at me weird! How sad is that for a 24 year old guy   (not sad at all, damm preconceived societal norms that are pressured on us!)

But then I did my DW warrior (best ever) with Leliana as my romance interest and that was a quality playthrough, most fun I have had in a game in a long time.

My only romance with Leliana was the sacrifice.  So sad for her :(

You also have the option to import your character from Origins through
loading a saved game, and that can be done at any time. You actually
don't need to have completed Origins to jump into Awakening, but it is
a one way process.

Once you make the jump to fast forward that amount
of time, you effectively end that Origins campaign and you begin the
Awakening campaign with that character. You can always go back to your
Origins save and continue that separately, but once you go into
Awakening, because of the level up and the time passage, there is no
coming back to Origins at that point.

It is interesting that you can import an early save game.

I wonder how that will work because Loghain would still be regent. So presumably it has to fast forward to the end of the Blight and have a default outcome for who became King or died.

Here's the part that interested me, when the question of time comes up: "We can't because we're still balancing it. You will probably end up in the mid to high 30s -- that's kind of the current thinking, but that may still change. "

I've played 3 times and am at 21 in all 3 endings w/o doing any cheats or exploits but also finished almost all quests (a bannistor or love notes thing might remain) so I suspect a lot of people are in a similar place. If we can level someone that high up to a 35 that has to be a lot content/time to do that.

Yeah, I thought about that too!! ;) But HOW are you going to be able to have all your talents at the spell/ability bar?! They need to add an option for making that bigger!!

It's great that someone posted this, I read it at IGN and then thought I would post it, but a certain someone was faster :pinched: But I think it's a great interview. And the info about RTO-delay was a great bonus too :)

Well keep in mind that some skills are not ones you use a button to trigger. Like for a rogue you get a few that are not going to show up on the bar. As for the other skills I would start picking which ones you don't even use and remove them from the bar. That's what I've done when playing my warrior or mage. If I happen to need a skill I removed it's not like I can't get it back.

What I hope they consider doing is sort of adding a small bar that connects to the health pots and mana pots. That would be a space saver there.

I romanced Morrigan and when she asked me to break up with her, I did. Then I went with Leliana until the end where I decided to leave Leliana and marry Anora.

Leliana never mentioned our relationship, but immediately prior to the final battle Morrigan declared her love for me. lol right outta left field.

Well in the case of my mage, the entire bar is taken up save two spots, and I only have one slot for poultices, and one spot for mana pots. And he uses almost all those spells depending on the fight.

I think he has spirit healer line, complete heal line, lightning line, frost line, mana clash line, death cloud line, and telekenetic line. Probably some others I can't remember off the top of my head, he has a lot of abilities.

This is why I liked my LOTRO set up. I have like...7 bars with about 10 slots. I can move them around and then have my skills on the main bars in the middle then two bars off to the side for potions/pots as well as other skill enhancing drugs erm I mean items.

Even WoW has the extra bars. It wouldn't be too hard to implement unless there is some sort of issue we don't know of regarding bar space. I'd be happy with an arrow that brings up a new bar in place of the old one to be able to switch skills that way.

I'm glad there's carry over based on your decisions at the end of the game. That gives me hope for being able to keep some of my party...one person in particular. Though I agree with the person who said they're a little worried because of some things that were said at the end that didn't match up with the decisions they'd made.

That happened to me too.

God I hope things work out the way I want them to.

Cool interview though, seriously.

what i'm most curious about is what is alistair going to be doing if you didn't make him king? I can't see why he would be giving my warden missions if he wasn't king, so will he just have a smaller part than or will bioware do something like kill anora off so alistair has to be king?
