[The Final Warrior]

Ugh, this is going to sound massively cheaty, and it absolutely is, but I'm using it for single-player only, and it's a thing that has been bugging me since I got back into NWN again (i.e. today).

Now, I could have sworn, years ago, when I made an item compilation for personal use, I (somehow) managed to get armor with plate appearance, with AC0. I don't remember the method - does anyone here know it? Or am I just horrendously misremembering what the armor looked like (and/or its stats)?

I just as well got back into NWN (I'm glad I got it to work on this new computer).

From what I remember, the armor is based of the chest customization. So you would need to pick a light chestplate, but could make the rest of the set look really heavy.

Im sure there would be a way to do it with a script as well.

If you want to do this in a specific module, you could include a custom "parts_chest.2da" file in a hakpack with all the AC values set to something less than 1.0 (decimals are used for toolset organization, or so I'm understanding from how they work in other armor piece files). Doing this will make all "armor" AC0, which allows the designer to use any appearance for an outfit without affecting the AC. However, without duplicate armors the only way to add an armor rating is through the AC bonus item property, which can cause the item price to skyrocket.
