Hi everyone,
I'm "kinda" new to this forum. I was a steady presence on the old forums, but as soon as the old forum were closed, I understood I had to take a long break before coming back.

I hope to find the good old companies I had in the past that were really helpful (Irrbloss, Icen, Humanoid_Taifun etc)

Anyway, let's get back into track.
I modded my Bg 2 and now it has the following mods:

BiG World Fixpack
BiG World Installpack
BiG World Project (BWP) (Translations and sounds)
BiG World Textpack (Translations and sounds)
BiG World Trimpack
Generalized Biffing
Turambar fixes and tweaks
WeiDU (Tool)
BG2 Fixpack
Creature Fixer
Throne of Bhaal Extender (Beta)
Alternatives
Assassinations
Ding0's Quest Pack
Tower of Deception (ToD)
Unfinished Business (UB for BG2)
Wheels of Prophecy (Beta)
Angelo NPC
Iylos NPC (ToB)
Longer Road (LR)
Weimer’s Solaufein (NPC)
Xulaye NPC
Banter Packs
IEP Extended Banters
Korgan's Redemption
Big Picture (BP)
Sword Coast Stratagems II (SCSII)
Turnabout
aTweaks
BG2 Tweak Pack (BG2 Tweaks)
Dungeon-Be-Gone For Baldur’s Gate 2
Item Randomiser
Level 1 NPCs
PnP Free Action
Rogue Rebalancing (RR)
Throne of Bhaal Refinements
Weimer's Item Upgrade
Weimer's Item Upgrade (Translations and sounds)
Widescreen Mod
Spellhold gauntlet

I played baldur's gate 2 a lot in the past times;

And so, I desired to do a powerhouse party made of evil npcs.
Truth be told, I don't know where to begin.

I had a really bad idea:

I changed Anomen via level 1 npc mod to make him become a berserker. I would not use the ability the berserker kit gives before making anomen fail his proof ( I want to be lore consistent )
And I added some wisdom to make him able to dual-class to cleric.
And so my first npc added was Anomen (level 9 berserker)

The second npc I added was Jan Jansen ( I must admit that I was tempted not to get him, because I want to murder all the guards that come if you badmouth the guy trying to arrest Jan)

And so my party was made by:
me (kensai)
Anomen (berserker without the ability to enrage)
Jan

As soon as I tried to free the slaves my character was dead.
I was able to do only the circus quest , not before finishing all my potions while trying to kill the illusions.

In that party (that I consider a utterly failure) I had no clerics, and so I wasn't able to heal, unless I moved to the Lathander temple that you can find into the slums, or unless I bought a great amount of super-healing potions (and that is not a really good option, because potions are limited and cost really a lot ...!)

so I wonder:

Should I just play evil with a party made of both good and evil npcs,  (me, anomen, minsc, jaheira\\viconia, Edwin, jan )?

As soon as I dual class I will drop Edwin
and as soon Anomen get dual-classed I will drop Jaheira.

Is that a good idea for you? What's your own opinion, knowing that I'm going to dual class both me and Anomen at level 13?

Remember that I play Insane difficulty with SCSII installed and no reload ability.

Thank you.

Sounds like you're making a pretty hard challenge for yourself. Staying alive as a kensai until level 13 means taking quite a lot of things on and at the moment your resources are limited.

Given you've said that you want to be an evil party I'm surprised you haven't included Viconia as the classic evil character, especially as you seemed to want some more healing ability. If you're concerned that Anomen is to be a cleric anyway what about making Viconia a cleric/mage to reflect her drow heritage?

I agree Edwin should be useful. Presumably you are intending to dual to a mage if you are intending to drop him then, but that's still quite a long way off. The other NPCs you might want to consider instead of Minsc are Yoshimo and Korgan - either would keep all characters either neutral or evil. Using Yoshimo's traps would provide an easy way to progress if you wanted that option, while Korgan would give you a good tanking option (you could drop him as well as Edwin at the point that you and Anomen dual).

Hi Grond0, thanks for answering me!

I know that it may seem that is a pretty hard challenge, but I'm trying to avoid the wasting of experience.

As soon as Tob begins, I will get Irenicus instead of Edwin, and Sarevok instead of Minsc.

So my party will be made by

me (kensai-mage)
Irenicus (mage)
Sarevok (I wonder if I should change his class to kensai\\thief, so I can drop Imoen\\Jan)
Imoen\\Jan
Anomen

So you understand why I'm making the party tight as possible :)
