Effect 3, nevermind the fact that it is using Origin, which happened to
be one of the apps that I hate the most.
So I put enough money in my paypal account, and happily decided to check out the items.

What happened next is that I struggled for half an hour, trying to find the stupid paypal option for payment.
After many Google searches for this issue, I finally realized what the
freaking problem was. Origin Store uses a separate store/website for
each and every region. In my case, they actually forgot to implement
this payment option in the store for my region. US users can use paypal,
but not me.
And to make matters worse, I can't change the bloody
region or the bloody language. They lock it in, I can't even change
what region I want to purchase from.

They should just shut down the bloody site and fire all their top management. They have no idea how to run a business.
