 Hey guys!


I've been promoting like mad recently and i've realized my Engineer class is always consistently at level 1. When i go to try and level it up, I realize there is no engineer class i legitimately like, although i usually go with the demolisher.


What are you guys' favorite engineers? (and builds for them would be nice )

i cant really say, human/Quarian/demolisher are all spawn destroying machines...

then theres the ( sentinel) paladin, arguably the best engineer...

Vanilla Engineer and Quarian Male Engineer are great for leveling up. Also I find the CSMG one of the best weapons for the Vanilla Engineer for some reason.

Geth engineer for all the awards. With full evolutions on Geth Turret (select flame thrower option) and Overload.

I'm never top-scoring but I notice that I have best chances of survival when I use the geth turret on armored units by leading them around the turret so they're constantly in the path of its flame - whish is astonishingly effective against armor. The geth turret boosts the shields of you and your allies in surprisingly smart situations as well. Like, "oh shi-, that geth turret just saved MY LIFE, yo"

Then, equip it with Eviscerator or Disciple shot gun, and maybe an N7 Eagle or Phalanx pistol.

Also the melee is awesome, except I didn't learn until dying many times that it strips away all your shields with heavy melee - you have to KEEP HOLDING the F button down and it creates a protective shell or bubble around you, more than a direct damage to your foe.

A: Top evolution
B: Bottom evolution

Just put the sentry turret somewhere overlooking a large portion of the map and you're good.
Sentry Turret will destroy enemies even on gold with this build.

Personally, I love the Demolisher and Salarian Engineer.

Definitely the QME, with the Demolisher as a close second. GE and HE are also both great.

The Paladin is my favorite engineer.

But seriously, Human Engineer was the first class I played on Gold, and always been one of my favorite characters. I usually spec 3/6/6/5/6.

Combat Drone is 3 just to have it (great for distracting Geth/Phantoms/etc).
Incinerate is Damage/Burn/Armor Damage.
Overload is Chain/Neural/Chain.
Passives are Power Damage&Capacity/Power Damage.
Fitness is all health/shields.

He's a little bit squishy (or she I guess), but the class has great flexibility in terms of the weapons you use. You can play up close and personal with an SMG/Pistol combo, snipe from afar, or throw on your favorite AR (if you have one). I've never really played the class with shotguns too much tbh, but I imagine there are a few that would be pretty okay if you wanted to go that way.

Even though Neural Shock makes it harder to "stun" for the headshot, it's been pointed out elsewhere (and not by me, but I can't find the link) that the Neural Shock evo removes the .5 damage multiplier of Overload vs. health (non-synthetics). This makes it just about one of the best crowd control abilities you can get in the Engineer class.

It also makes Overload one of my favorite detonators for Tech Bursts/Fire or Cryo Explosions. Easily my favorite real Engineer.

During my promotion run I found this character to be the best. I went with area scan to help PUG gold teammates understand where the enemies where coming from and just farmed ammo boxes for grenades and the harrier.
The SE/GE is good for sniping. Energy Drain/Overload then easy headshot on low level enemies.

I like the Demolisher because she plays like a Soldier, but can still Tech Burst with the best of them. She's also a little more offensive where the others are defensive.

6/6/6/5/3 Human engineer has always been my favorite. Nonstop tech bursts or fire explosions, no grenades required.

Personally, the male quarian, geth, and vanilla human engys are the best ones I believe.
