Admittedtly, there are some BS moments with them (especially with Collector captains and scions) but I find them fun to play.

For me the most annoying thing about them, is the swarms... When you least expect it BAM!

Still they are harder than the other factions, slightly. Mainly cause everyone understands the other factions already.

I never understood the whole collectors are OP thing in the first place.
Get a Turian, Batarian or Krogan
Max out health and shields, you will have aroun 1400+ shields.
Scions will take out all you'r shields in one shot, despite BW saying, that it is "fixed" and will deal 400 damage.
How a Praetorian will take out an entire team behind cover, across the map with their beams.

I think Praetorians are fine for the most part except how quiet they are, turning around and "Oh ****! Who put that Praetorian there?!!" is also not fun.

Of course if you play a shooty class that does not rely on powers then yeah, collectors are not that hard because the shooty classes are the game gods.

if you are in a bad pug on gold, collectors are pure painful, from start to finish. I also have problem with them on small maps. Collectors/glacier makes me shiver.

We understand Collectors too, now. They're the best faction now, with almost as much tactical pinning-down as Cerberus' Phantom+2 Dragoons+a turret around the corner strategy, the bum-rushing Abominations and troops, Captains with their ridiculous RoF guns and every melee staggers you, so good luck if they swarm your body and no one's close by-- usually this happens when they spawn on top of you.
Still, with a good team, they're no harder than any other faction. They just take a co-ordinated and smart effort.

Pros: They have big heads so it is easy to headshot them
Cons: They make the life of casters (specially Adepts) miserable.

Collector Captains are like Marauders on steroids. They can spawn swarms and down you in an instance in the open field.
Troopers are even deadly. They can toss grenades, erect webs that block your progress when you move through the map.
Their seeker swarms and plagues have higher health bars than they should and F up your powers while also making a distraction.
Scions are pin point accurate from anywhere on the map, can stun lock you and kill you in a few shots. The plasma shots that land screw your shield recharge. Oh and their cluster grenades can wipe a whole team and lead to chain revives or medigeling.
Abominations even in their basic form have an AOE damage when killed too close to you or a teammate and in their evolved form can wipe a whole team if they group together.
Praetorians with the health bar of an Atlas, DR bubble, and BS eye beam/seeker missile barrage. Also instakill.
I would love to hear the level you guys routinely play them on if you find them "easier" than other factions.

-Take 33% less damage from combos
-Praetorians shoot lasers through their butts and after they die, plus their lasers bypass shield/healthgate
-Scion shots stop shield regen for a while
-Collector Captain is the most powerful enemy in its class, tougher than the Marauder etc.
-Seeker Swarms have too much health
-Possession makes enemies a little too powerful, Preatorian rockets, Scion grenades, Abomination nukes, and Swarm explosions
-Praetorians move too fast and too far while flying, which makes powers absolutely useless, another downside for playing as a caster against Collectors
-Seeker Swarms are unfairly biased against casters since weapons only get a slight accuracy decrease while powers can't be used at all

no their not, if you rush them before they deploy their "cheap" tactics then their a pisstake. just make sure you have team synergy if not that then some power to decimate shields.

Praetorian lazers hitting through walls and striking you when clearly away from "visual" of lazers.
Praetorians taking advantage of "stunlock" with almost instant melee-melee-melee-Synckill BS
Scions cluster grenades not being consistent with when they blow up. Not worries about the lazer damage, its actually all they really have. The DoT could last less than forever though.
Besides those things I think the collectors are the best put together faction in the game. Good solid strategy and teamwork will always take them down. If you lose to them, its because your squad failed at a countermeasure against them. The collectors strategy is to
*take out your entire team in a swift shot (P.Scions/Praetorian Lazers/P.Abominations)
*counter camp with P.abominations, Cluster Grenades, P.Swarmers
*high damage with Captians lazers and cannons
*ceasing your return fire with ability locking swarmers and scions shield regen blocking.
I've lost to them and learned, most people don't or choose to complain instead (which is why complains about them are rampant) If you learn to adapt to and prepare for the listed above, you will win EVERY TIME (unless of course a bioware bug kicks in, but thats ME3MP norm).

Tell that to a bad gold pug.

People are not saying they are impossible to win against, merely that they are in fact cheap. And the anit-caster "features" need to go.
Shooty classes are already the dominant classes in the game. I'm not sure why Bioware decided to stick it to casters with an entire faction being anti-caster.
