Things that See Through TC

Bombers can see through cloak - I mean they stun shoot and grenade me. Prime drones can, turrets not so much. The Primes themselves can. The Banshees also walked right up to me cloaked and did the hug o' love. Are there certain foes that just ignore TC?

But if you get too close to stuff, they can see you just like you can see a Hunter.

They still typically have to relocate to get an angle on you, during which you can break LoS and sneak away. That's when you'll typically see them shooting at where you were. Don't be afraid to put some distance between you and them, to give yourself a chance to find a better tactical position.
As far as the 1234 device objectives, I find some locations/enemies can be practically impossible to achieve those while soloing, but I'm not one of the übergamers that can solo gold/platinum.

...and that would be what? I know not to TC in place X and then not expect to get shot at place X. Things will "fire down the wire" as well but when I TC out of LOS and then move to an objective why are things not just randomly firing but coming up to me (Bombers/Banshees) and taking potshots?

Sometimes, depending on your position relative to the objective and map layout, you need that intermediary step to draw them to point further from your objective.

All unit when you are soloing will cheat and check your current position (at the time they cheat) peroidically. Also tracking weapons like the geth rockets will ignore your cloak whenever they are fired. The rocket troopers won't see you at all but they will blind fire their missiles which due to the entire tracking weapon rules will just ignore cloak. The missiles will not hit you if you're not in the forward arc (eg you're behind a rocket trooper who blind fires. The rocket will hit the ground)
There are many more rules to cloak and you can search for them using the forum search if you need to know more

People take the turn invisible thing a little too much to heart. The power should be called Tactical Damage Boost or Tactical Aggro Drop. If you solo, where is the aggro supposed to go?
Still works, though. It took me a long time, but I can avoid them tracking me down automatically most of the time I'm playing alone.

Also i can swear that the huntress cloaked doesn't work as well as other infiltrators. we know the weapon damage is bugged and doesn't work but it seems like cloak does nothing to pull agrro off of you for some reason

Above thread is on enemy detection mechanics. Tactical Cloak is a detection debuff, but due to the way the enemy AI spreads info and "peeks behind the curtain", TC is not always reliable.
You have to use TC in a certain way. Reading up on how enemy detects you is a good way to understand how to make TC work for you.

The Geth Prime drone can see through cloak, I think. And enemies have a hearing range dependent on their rank in which they can detect your movement.
Also enemies that lock on (Ravagers, Primes and Rocket Troopers for example) seem to have some funky things going on.

During soloing or last-man-standing the AI periodically is allowed a peak at your current location so that they're always on the hunt and keep the pressure on you.
...and I think the "peeking" is what is getting me during those 1234 things based on what I'm reading. I didn't expect 100% invisibility but I did expect that it would at least keep them from homing in on my exact spot. I'm assuming they know an exact spot and that is why they shoot where they saw me during their peek because otherwise I'd expect to see a lot of things around me but not firing AT me.
