I can do serious discussion.  You are proposing using collectors and seeker swarms to pacify any dissent.

I picture a husk with a ratty uniform and a pen showing up at your front door. Think it could pronounce "I'd like to ask you a few questions" with those tubes in its mouth?

. Skip the husks, straight to the reaper making for you

"Uncle Phil, is that you?!"

I just never stopped to think how ridiculous it is, the idea of using Reapers or their thralls to police the galaxy in any capacity.

Start by developing reading comprehension, it's generally useful.

That's why I don't plan on doing so habitually or casually. I don't think I'll need to personally watch for terrorist uprisings when there are still Spectres, for instance.

Hey I got a perfect score on the reading section of the SAT.

all I am seeing is you forming a dictatorship that would make Stalin look like a playground bully.

Interesting.  Just a little bit ago I was thinking that somewhere in Hell, Stalin is taking notes from her posts.

He can compare notes with Ivan the Terrible, Caligula, and Mao Zedong

Stalin. A dictator whose policies led to the deaths of a great many people.
You, some random person who most likely hasn't even done anything remotely terrible is going to make him look like a playground bully.

in all seriousness the asari government/matriarchs hiding the prothean beacon not only needs to be brought to light, it can't be prevented without serious levels of censorship and strangling governmental control over witnesses. do you think shep kept this quiet? there's a reporter on board the normandy! this s**** goin viral, serious ramifications for the asari government.

their entire position on the council was gained by hoarding prothean knowledge for themselves, outlawing it for everyone else and not revealing vital information (while untold billions were horrifically slaughtered) until THEIR planet was threatened. at the very least they'll be stripped of council status. in fact make them a client race for the turians and give the volus their seat, they may not be the most physically adept but when it came crunch time they donated massive funds and committed their one and only war ship.

the volus are more honourable than the asari by the end of ME3, really plays with your perception of the races that way.

Not to mention keeping JAVIK quiet. Somehow I don't think he'd give a damn about the status of the Asari in the eyes of the galactic community.

To be fair, it wouldn't require much extra work considering the already lol Big Brother act she's got going. I'm sure there's a few capital ships working round the clock on some new thought policing method.

I've made it clear to Diana Allers that this is not going to be reported unless she wants to leave the ship. Leaving the ship while inside the shuttle is also not necessarily a guarantee (I won't actually say that, though, as my Shepard is less aggressive about this than I am personally). The rest of the crew is hopefully trustworthy; I'll make sure to speak to Hackett about ensuring the trustworthiness of the ordinary crew, while trusting my actual squad for the time being.

Avoiding complications like this is why I want to keep things secret. If it does get out, I may need to act more openly; in that case, plan B is to expose and punish any surviving matriarchs and make it clear that it was only the doing of said matriarchs and not the doing of the asari race as a whole, and no entire species will be suffering any political ramifications because of something that none of them knew about anyway.

Not to mention keeping JAVIK quiet. Somehow I don't think he'd give a damn about the status of the Asari in the eyes of the galactic community.

My hope is that he won't care enough about galactic politics to bother, and still be sufficiently loyal to me and possibly Liara that he won't expose anything.

I got Javik to like Liara. And why would he give a crap about how the Council is arranged?

Writing a book with someone isn't the same as being BFFs.  He would probably reveal it for the hell of it.

and if the reporter, or javik, or any of your other cre don't want to go along with your cigarette smoking shepard conspiracy? out the airlock? you're idea of poetic justice?

of course the ones responsible should be punished, but the asari government has proven to be untrustworthy and corrupt to the point of costing billions of lives, this will be made public and the asari as a governmental force in the galaxy will have to have their powers severely diminished until the full extent of the corruption can be routed out. after an extensive investigation and trials they may regain their seat after a vote by the collective races of the galaxy.

the salarians are gonna be on some peoples s*** list too for their laxidasical approach to the war and counter-productive attempts to sabotage the genophage cure. kirrahe may have to do a little 'regime change' league of one style. all in house, no outside races influence or involvement the salarians didn't cost billions of lives and have their own way for dealing with this kind of thing.

Allers isn't a threat, I'm fairly sure; I'd have seen more warning signs right after the mission. Javik is apolitical. The crew is iffier, but I'll discuss things with Hackett.

No. I will not allow this to happen. Should this be exposed, which I believe I can stop anyway, it'll be swept under the rug as swiftly as possible; the asari government is too valuable.
