They removed the mass Citadel explosion in the Synthesis ending. I wonder if Bioware intended to cut it out of the Destroy ending but just never got to it.
Either way I don't take the cinematics too literally considering they basically imply the station is completely destroyed despite the fact that we see it as good as new moments later in the epilogue.
This is alo a odd thing with the slides.
We see the Citadel repaired and up and running in the slides. Which would suggest that some time has passed.
Quite alot of time even I dare say.
But still no slide showing Shepard being found? Or at least a mention of him being found? One would think he should have been found by then if ever.
imo, the slides are mostly detached from the timeline.
nothing within the epilogue seems to happen in a timely order.
the memorial scene is the best example. assumed that shepard is alive in high ems destroy, it would have been shown before the memorial scene, if it would be in succession. but then, this scene, would loose its emotional impact.
if the audience would know why the li is not putting the plate on the wall, it would become nearly useless and loose its "big reveal".
Yeah. I know they are chronologically out of order. But it doesn't make thing better
Just more stupid.

It is probably me, but I think you all are just looking too deeply into this.
Because the order of the slides will make a difference whether someone could survive an explosion that powerful at ground zero.

yeah .. we see al those nice slides .. get a memorial scene with a li staring at the ceiling and finally the breathe scene.
then we realise, that shepard was not mentioned at all by hackett. the greatest hero of all time somehow survived and gets not even mentioned?

To be honest you do not have to look very deep to se how flawed it is. More like throw a brief glance at the surface

PROFIT MOTIVE.
Pure & simple.
The " One more My Sweet" cut scene at the VERY end opens the door for bioware to "milk" the cash cow one last time.

Trying to make sense of the scene is looking too deeply into it. We all know that the developers thrive off of Speculation and our tears, so i do not think that we need to know more.

Ok. I'll agree that trying to make sense of something that doesn't make sense is fruitless (even though it's fun to make fun of it). But I don't think it's "looking to deep" in to things.
