Yeah. We were both doing Salarian Infiltrators and going for the medals, especially the headshot medals by wave 3 but for some reason kept missing some kill streaks trying to hone in faster. The Krogards allowed us to get to other parts of the map faster. Cheesy but effective. 

I am looking forward to fighing Cerberus again or Reapers to snipe or use my Claymore. Geth are just not that fun for me unless im sniping or using overload. 

Yeah it was close. Good job guys. Kaxas we definitely have to play again. You know your awesome regardless of this contest.

Geth were just frustrating without using characters that have stunlock resistance; apart from that, I think we had two disconnects in waves 9 and 10.

And I can't understand why my Krogan Adept can get stunlocked by Combat Drones, while Primes and Hunters can't stagger him.

Originally, Cory had it set up that the losing teams of Round 3 would duke it out. Then, some weirdness went on with Team Prophecy coming back in and somehow something was figured out to put Team Second Place as one of the Wildcards. EDIT: But now that I look at it, letting Round 3 help decide the Wildcard makes little sense. It should probably be highest "losing" score from Round 2.

That... didn't answer my question about the Wild Card. But I think I'm just going to make an executive decision on it. I say top score of the Round 2 losing teams goes into the Wild Card to face Team Second Place. Unless Team TFWO rises from the ashes by this evening (I'm not seeing this happening), the teams going into Round 3 would look like this:

Team Missile Glitchers vs Team Prophecy
Team Heretics vs Team Tron
Team Dat Stunlock vs Team Hazard
Wild Card: Team Second Place vs Team Sons of Verner

If anyone has any objections to my decision on the Wild Card second slot, you've got until 9pm EST to yell at me or offer a better solution. Otherwise, I will make the enemy/map draws tonight and we will move on with the competition.

ohhh come on. I was hoping for that wild card. There is no chance we'll beat tron.

The three team match sounds like a better idea. We'll even submit a score early so it is done within two days

edit: dont be like that. its bad enough that second place was GIVEN a wild card spot and prophecy re-entered the tourney after forfeiting and moved to the second round. but this...

What I'm having trouble doing is understanding what Cory's logic was with the whole Round 3 losers compete for Wild Card slot. Because looking at the brackets, there'd literally be two battles JUST for the Wild Card... first, a battle to be that second team, then the actual Wild Card game, just to figure out who the heck the winner of Dat Stunlock/Hazard plays.

See what I'm saying?

Going by Cory's method, the competition would look like this:

Round 3
Missile Glitchers vs Prophecy
Heretics vs Tron
Second Place sits on their hands waiting again
Dat Stunlock vs Hazard

Now, all winners sit on their hands while the 3 losers of Round 3 have a round all alone to get that second Wild Card slot.

And then all the winners continue to sit on their hands while Second Place and Second Wild Card Team have a round all alone.

Round 4
Winner of MG/Prophecy vs Winner of Heretics/Tron
Wild Card Winner vs Winner of Stunlock/Hazard

Platinum Final Round

Unless I am grossly misinterpreting the brackets, it seems like a lot of waiting for the winning teams piled on top of the waiting we've already had with the never-ending Round 2.

Whereas what I thought was more logical was to stick Round 2 "best" loser into Wild Card and have all the brackets play Round 3. Then it would go straight into Round 4 and then the finals without having that awkward 2-Wild Card game battle.

But that's just my opinion from where I am coming from.

I definitely sympathize with whatever it was Cory did with Prophecy and Second Place. It was a bit odd and awkward, but whatever. I wasn't running the show then, but what's done is done.

I like your "done in 2 days" proposal.

How about a compromise to keep the original Wild Card format (clunky though it is) but have a strict sudden death time limit on it? Such as, after Round 3 ends, I draw a map/enemy for the Round 3 losing teams, who then have only 48 hours to compete amongst each other. Once a winner is declared, that team then must face Team Second Place and perform another 48-hour deadline Wild Card round. Winner of that then advances to Round 4..

Something like that at least ensures our Round 3 winners only have to wait 4 days maximum instead of a possible 2 weeks before Round 4 starts.

Back on Page 63, Heretics beat his team. Hidden score, but Cory showed that Heretics score was 6-digit and started with a 5, whereas Red John's team was 480,000 roughly, so Heretics won: http://social.biowar...dex/15401269/63
