Enemies:
Husks
Husk - Runs fast, doesn't shootCannibal - Shoots its gun and sometimes throws grenades, has poor aimMarauder - Moves and shoots, shoots fast, has good aim. Consider it a high priority target if you want to survive.Abomination - Like the husk, but blows up when you get too close, only shows up in a couple of places.Ravager - Fires bombs only, can fire 3 straight or 1 at Marauder Shields.Brute - Moves slow, but speeds up over time and takes a few hits to go down. Kill it before it becomes dangerous. Relentlessly pursues Shields.Banshee - Dashes around and shoots biotic energy balls at Shields, can take punishment too. Thankfully rare.Harvester - Stationary, but fires bombs and takes a lot of punishment. Their bombs are easy to dodge, but they do slow you down.
Cerberus
Trooper - Basic shock troops, semi fast and has a gun, but doesn't bother aiming and shoots straight ahead.Engineer - Turtles near their turrets, has good aim, and can throw grenades, kill it ASAP.Phantom - Shoots faster than any enemy in the game, but thankfully has poor aim, should still be considered a high threat. Sometimes swings its sword randomly, but that should be considered an opening.Nemesis - Accurate fire, and shots move quickly. Takes time to aim, so kill it before it gets a shot off.Atlas Mech - Either fires a bomb, or a fast shot like the nemesis, and has great aim. But at least this thing is rare.
Collectors
Drone - Walks and shoots, but has good aim. Doesn't fire too often though.Defender - Acts like the Drone, but stops when it fires, and hides behind barriers. Takes 2 hits, but will recover if not fully killed on Insanity or NES mode.Assassin - Much like the defender in all respects, except instead of hiding behind barriers, it'll fire 3 particle beam shots with good aim that are harder to dodge than normal shots.Harbinger Collector - Moves slower than other collectors, but takes more punishment and still recovers on Insanity or NES mode. Fires 3 biotic shots with good aim, the 2nd of which can explode so watch out. Talks to the player Scion - Fires a shock wave that pulses outward, and takes a lot of punishment, possibly the hardest enemy to deal with in the game except for:Praetorian - Nothing good about this thing, fires a laser that's hard to avoid, takes a lot of hits, and will recover all health if you get too close, there's only 1, and it can be avoided, though it's located near some bonuses.
Keepers
There's only one type, but they are extremely aggressive and come in large swarms. They never stop spawning, even on the boss, and spawn in groups of 3 from above. Thankfully, they only appear in one level.
Oculii
Oculus(land) - Takes high amounts of punishment and fires lasers. Barely shows up though.Oculus(space) - Moves back and forth and fires.Homing Oculus(space) - Same as above, but homes in on your ship.Red Triburst Oculus(space) - Stationary, but dangerous due to its ability to fill the screen with lasers. Doesn't aim well though.
Tips:
-Health can only be recovered by getting to the next level, so be careful not to pick up space magic power ups as soon as your shields drop. Save them for when you need them if you can.-Enemies spawn faster on higher difficulties up to Veteran, but it doesn't get faster than that on higher levels.-For Veteran, when you load a save, your lives are always reset to 3, whether they were higher or lower. Normal and Casual only do this if your lives are below 3. Hardcore and Insanity allow you to save your current lives count, but this also means any lives you lose are permanently gone, as it will save if they are below 3 as well. Keep this in mind when saving your games.-On NES mode, you can continue on level 1 without losing a continue, so you don't need to restart the game if this happens.-If you see a Harbinger Hologram, it means you are about to be forced into a fight, so collect whatever powerups you think may help you before going further.-You sometimes have to explore to find power ups, so taking a straight path to the exit isn't always the best route.-If you come to a seeming dead end by a bottomless pit, wait, and a moving platform should show up.-Level 4 has two branching paths, the top one has more fighting and power ups, but the bottom one has bottomless pits.-Level 5 sometimes has safe platforms below where you can see them. If platforms are spawning though, you can just wait for one to spawn in visible range. If not, jump as far to the right as you can.-Level 8's ceiling will leak a harmful substance. However, the timing is effected by when its leak comes on screen, and can be effected again by walking to the left until it is off screen, and back right. Use this to your advantage if the timing of two leaks makes a certain jump difficult.-Level 9 is long, but the low gravity allows you to jump higher and dodge easier, take full advantage of this.-All space oculii have armored and unarmored versions, unarmored ones are simply harder to hit.-Save up warp bombs in space. Harbinger takes a lot of hits to kill, but you can take off about a fifth to a quarter of his health before he starts shooting if you saved up.
