Hello!

I liked very much the NWN game for a long time, although I usually haven`t time to play or create modules as I wanted to. Some time ago, I started to construct a  great lenght module featuring the ruins of Myth Drannor, in the Forgotten Realms world. Today the project is still unfinished, although I worked on it when I have time. A year ago, I posted a few screens in the NWvault:

http://nwvault.ign.c...s.Detail&id=490

I`ve noticed that the NWN community have a lot of great talented artists, and the custom content created for the game has a truly great variety and cuality. However, I think that today the game lacks of a great tileset of a ruins interior. The bioware deafult for netheril ruins is good, and Six gorgeus Deep dungeon is suited for the ruins purposes.  In my Myth Drannor module I retextured and changed a few existing tilesets, and the result is also good (I think), but I feel that the vision lacks of... something. I am very perfeccionist in this tasks, and wanted to know if someone of the great artists that conforms this NWN community (people as Six, Senemenelas, Lordof Worms, Baba Yaga, Zwerkules, and others) have in mind, or in their future projects, something similar like a ruins interior tileset.

Thank you very much, and please forgive my awful english.

P.

Hekatoncheires: Thanks! Of course, I will release the module in the vault in a future not too long (I hope), but, like I said before, I am very perfeccionist in these affairs, and wanted to the module be as perfect as possible (no bugs, greast dialogues and encounters, each area visually gorgeus, etc.)

Builder_Anthony: Eh, your screenshots are very good! I also have used a lot of haks to build the module, but I think that considering the cuality of the available custom content for the game, we must use all of the necessary resources to gave form to our sword&sorcery personal imaginery. Thanks for the links!

Ah. So you're the author of that module.

I noticed those screens and have been waiting for its release. Hope to see it soon!

nice screen shots. I look forward to seeing more of your work, and also hope that you inspire an artist around here to create a ruins tileset.

And great atmosphere there, looking amazing already!

Fester Pot: I remembered you too; you are Fester Pot, the creator of Almraiven! I played your module a few years ago and enjoyed it very much. You undoubtedly have a great creator touch, and in fact motivated me to start a project featuring a Calimshan environment (unfinished of course. Someday I will post screens of this). Respect of my module, I want to finish it shortly, but who knows... Well, in these days I have a much more time than usual to work on it.

henesua: For the gods, I hope the same thing! ;) Today, with the custom content available and a wise use of it, is not very difficult to build a decent ruin environment. But if a great talented artist, with a particular vision works on a personal project of this... Well, that would be great. The ancient ruined civilizations and such things are one of the classic themes of the heroic fantasy, and NWN deserves a great masterpiece in this area.

NWN_baba yaga: You are one of the nwn great artists I talking about! Thanks for you comment, and I look forward then to see the advances in your stone castle (wich looks very good so far).

You're being modest. I think your retexturing is far better than NWNCQ.
It was also a good idea to use those elven designs on your ruins textures. They fit in very well.
Will you make your retextured tilesets available for people who want to use them as an override (or patch hak) when you release your module?

What makes your screenshots look so good is not just your tileset retextures but especially the way you use the tile lights. Your use of those lights is masterly.

Hello Zwerkules! Yes, of course; when I finished the module and share it in NWvault, I make the tilesets available for anybody that wants to use these. However, I will have to package the files for a easy use (These are a truly mess now). In any case, what I have used for a basic Myth Drannor exterior ruins is a heavily (very heavily, I must confess) modified version of this forest:

http://nwvault.ign.c....Detail&id=6666

And for the ruins cobble floor, also a modified version of a masterpiece texture created by Senemenelas for his Myth Drannor tileset not finished:

Thanks for your comments; I appreciate your work, vision and style very much. Also, in my module I have used your mines and caves tileset. I love soo much those stone stairs...

Ssythliac, your work withs lights is really masterly. The way you used my mines override made it look better than I ever thought it would.

Thanks all! I am beginning to feel really motivated to finish the old Myth Drannor module Posted Image. Aaggh, if I would have only more free time and wasn`t too perfeccionist... Oh, well.

I'm curious, is that retexture of drow exterior your own work or publicly available? Also the larger character, is that a slight phenotype or separate appearance?

MAybe you should wait with releasing anything that can spoil the great atmosphere you have created until your module is ready to be released. I personaly dont want to test and mess with your content before i havent played trough your adventure.... just a thought. Now hurry up and bring it on man :) hehe

nwnsmith: This ruins exterior tileset is not available now; is my personal work for a Myth Drannor module today under construction. Also, it isn`t only a task of retexture; there is a bunch of new features created by me and only for this module, like a new ruin placeables, etc. By the way, the base is not a drow exterior, is a forest.

Fester Pot: Ey, Fester pot, are you still interested in Calimshan, etc.? Like I said before, your great module Almraiven, inspirates me to work in a module featuring the south region of Faerûn, like Camlimshan O the jungles of Chult. Of course, I`m still working of it. Here are a few images:

Hiya!

Yes, is still active. I will never let it die, for the gods` sake! However, it is now in a sort of stagnant phase, nearly finished in the most important things, but with a dozen areas or so to make, few quests and such. A year ago I decided to include in the module the masterwork Elven City tileset of Estelindis, and this increased the size and the things to do a lot... (but also the complexity and beauty of the module) ;)

However, in normal circunstances I would have finished it long time ago, but suddenly, the final phase of my doctorate comes into my life with a breath of blood and fire, and now I´m infernally busy trying not to die finishing it. In the little free time that I have sometimes come back to the module (and to my other two unfinished NWN projects) to work a little, but until I kill the damned Ph.D (in a year from now on) I will not have free time to work seriously on it.

Thanks for you interest! :)
