Ideas to improve the store system. (More ideas in thread, not in OP)

Although some people complain about the store and its mechanics, you have to admit that it is pretty clever in terms of getting a lot of interest around this game. For example, if this game didn't have its store and just gave out a minimal form of characters and weapons such as preset loadouts, this game wouldn't nearly have as much success in the multiplayer aspect.
It's been said many times but I think this game is more about the journey and less about the destination. Of course, that destination is subjective also but I don't think speeding up that process will make anything more enjoyable or "fun/challenging".
Also, you've clearly stated that you don't play for credits (maybe because you have a max manifest and what not) but that doesn't mean other players don't. Some are so drawn to this game due to unlocking packs like it's Christmas morning and that will draw a lot of the players from gold down to the lower levels. With a minimal difference with a considerable difference in difficulty, I don't think making silver very similar to gold credit payout is the wisest decision.
In a practical sense, this probably won't happen. Hate to be a pessimist but they say that a pessimist is simply an optimist's realist.

I know plenty of people that make Platinum look like a joke including myself. I still see no reason from any of your post as to why it is really a bad idea (or any of them in the thread for that matter). I have tried to understand why people are against it, but none have made any real sense at all.
I already stated why my manifest is private, my hours are my business and mine alone. I don't care whether you think I am a cheat or not, I know I am not and Bioware is free to look at it and see the same.
My main arguement against you was that you tell Bronze and Silver players to "save up like the rest of us." My point is that they can't do that but so often or they run completely out of consumables because of their pay scale. Three matches of max credits and spending nothing to get 1 Premium Spectre Pack, Reserve Pack, or Arsenal Pack? That is absurd and it is hilarious you can't understand that.
Anyways, I am done "debating" it with you as you clearly won't budge on the issue. You are welcome to your opinion, I just feel it is a stupid opinion (not calling you stupid). By the way, if you were to start over again you already have a head start on new players because you know mechanics, spawns, etc. where most players in Bronze and Silver likely don't have that.
i didnt have a problem running out of consumables... its called resource management.
i started with bronze and progressed through the difficulties.
im not calling you stupid, but the opinion you have is stupid that the game should be dumbed down and less challenging.
also it is a highly stupid assumption thinking that PSP's, Arsenals, and such are meant for bronze and silver players.
i have already stated why i think the credits should not be increased and im not saying your stupid, but maybe you are just to slow to get it.
^see i can do indirect insults as well.

Quite frankly, the word "fun" and "challenge" are completely subjective and shouldn't be used as an argument. I don't know if people would play this game as much if there wasn't that large incentive for completing that manifest and earning your own gear so you can finally hold your own in upper levels.

have you ever cheated in a game before?
usually when people remove the challenge then whats the point of playing the game.
earning credits and upgrading one's manifest is one of the built in challenges as well as playing a full game reguardless of difficulty.
it is also why we have had balance changes every week until recently, those balance changes were to alter the game to make it challenging or more balanced so all class's and weapons had near the same level of challenge.
so i still think, keeping the system the way it is currently retains the challenge.
why would i want to rob someone else of the challenge i went through, why should i remove their "right of passage"?
many people have went through this "right of passage" already, so if it is chabged there will be yet another split in the community.
just because people unlock a gun doesnt mean they are ready for gold/plat, plus greedy leecher types will exist anyway.

@EvoSigma: I know there are plenty of people drawn to opening packs which is why I had the idea to increase the credits. You still earn about 15k less for Silver than you do for Gold with the numbers I put up and quite honestly unless you only play pick-up games Gold is really not much more difficult than Silver (and that is assuming you get 3 players that are terrible, having one good teammate can make them all feel like a breeze).
I realize it is unlikely they will do such a thing, doesn't mean I am willing to give up on trying. I have friends both new and old to the game that don't want to play above Silver and I am trying to look out for players like them.

Instead of making more money, move a lot of the less effective gold cards to silver. That has the side effect of making both PSPs and VPs more valuable.

Second, I only brought up Gold being easy because in one of your previous post you claimed you "couldn't take me serious" because I said that Gold isn't much more difficult than Silver. I posted a video showing just how easy Gold can be and that was that, again not a shot at you in away way at all.
Anyways, if you felt I tried to insult you at any point that was honestly not my intentions. We can agree to disagree and move on.
@Aerowind: That has been suggested in the thread before. I just haven't found the time to read over the whole thing and update the OP with them. I think it would be more beneficial for people to read the whole thread anyways as I am not the only one with ideas for store improvement.

Think about it. The ways packs are built, to unlock the Slayer (rare) a Bronze player would have to play an extraordinary amount of time just to get a chance of maybe unlock it. The Bronze player will be tempted to play Gold even if he's not skilled enough just to have a better chance at unlocking the elusive thing he seeks.
What would be a better suggestion for the store is a small change to its "randomness". Since the store isn't entirely random and already have rules to prioritize things, it could prioritize something you haven't unlocked first.
The recruit pack would always give you a common weapon, mod, gear or character you don't have currently. If you have unlocked every common, you get the normal "randomness".
The veteran pack would always give you an uncommon you haven't unlock yet and when all uncommons are unlocked, you get the normal "randomness".
The specter pack would always give you a rare you haven't unlock yet and when all rares are unlocked, you get the normal "randomness". That means you cannot get an ultra rare before you unlock all rares...
The premium specter pack reacts the same way as the specter pack, but gives 2 rares intead of 1. You still can't unlock an ultra rare before you unlock all rares.
Sure, that means Bronze players could use an Harrier relatively fast, but that can be "balanced" by adjusting the leveling scale of every gun so none are overpowered at level 1.
That also means you won't get any UR before you unlock all the level 1 rares, but that's a small price to pay. Call it a right of passage, it's easy and won't be long to get...
That solution would solve a lot of grief for new players. Think about it, if everyone can unlock at least the level 1 of everything in the game "easily", people might actually play the difficulty they can handle!!!

Gold is EASY
By the way, that link will show you the date it was uploaded (we did the run the night before). It will also show you how easy Gold is, really not any more difficult than Silver if you are any good at all.
I don't care if everyone agrees with me or not, but please have a reasonable reason as to why something like this shouldn't happen. Also note that I am not only pushing for my own idea to happen, there are other ideas in this thread (such as moving some rares to uncommon) that are perfectly good ideas as well.
@Zelft: Privates making more than Generals? Gold and Platinum still earn more credits and as the video I am posting shows can be done extremely quickly even without missiles, meaning that you would still make more in Gold than you would in Silver. They aren't doing any less than the Gold/Platinum players the majority of the time because they do not have the same weapons/gear/consumables that a Gold or Platinum player would have.
Yes those difficulties are there to help them learn, but Silver may be the highest a lot of people can ever even play. Why should they be treated far worse (1 Gold game to after wave 10 credits = more than 2 extractions on Silver) for knowing their limits?
By the way Bolo, my manifest is private as I don't care to have people viewing my hours played if I don't want them to. Ask anyone from Team AreleX and they will tell you I am legit.
actually i came in here an displayed my opinion twice originally.
you are the one that started this whole disputing business over my opinion.
i dont care who you play with, i have played with D-bag non objective players before, so does that make them good because they were on my team?
why do you hide your HQ then? you have extra skill points or nonlegit challenge point figures?
hiding the HQ is just funny, it game dude.
i wouldnt have even replied after my posts if you hadnt tried to argue something goofy about, how im telling bronze and silver players they cant buy something based on a basic rough graph explaining how the system works.
im only still here because i think you trying to throw insults or belittling accusation around with every post you make, is quite frankly pathetic and funny at the same time.
i make platinum look like a joke, which many people i have played with can verify, so you and your "gold is easy" doesnt mean your right about everything.

Why would I flame? I still don't see that being enough to keep players in the difficulty they are comfortable with, but it is a decent start. Maybe this would be better:
Bronze: 25,000 (One Veteran, one Recruit)
Silver: 55,000 (One Jumbo, one Veteran) - with a little to start saving up (also puts you close to a Spectre Pack)
Gold: 95,000 (One Spectre, one Jumbo) - same as above, except PSP instead of SP
Platinum: 135,000 (One PSP, one Jumbo)
Even with that I still find the gap being too large, but it isn't as bad as it currently is.

You were the one that claimed you couldn't take me serious because I feel Silver and Gold are not that far off in difficulty, then go on to claim how you make Platinum look like a joke. Why is closing the gap on credits between difficulties such a big deal to you if Platinum is that easy for you? I am not asking for Bronze and Silver to make the same credits as Gold or Platinum, just somewhere closer so that players that want to play Gold or Platinum are prepared (with missiles, gels, amps, weapons) rather than looking to be carried.
How is that so difficult to understand? I am not claiming to be some God at a video game nor am I such a "Gold and Platinum elitist" that I feel others should deserve so much less than myself just for being in a lower difficulty. Gold is not 2x more difficult than Silver, so why does Gold earn more in one match than Silver does in two?
