I already made this post in the spoiler section of the forum and it was reccomended to post about it here in order to fix this, but whats happening is i just played through the dalish elf origin story and when i first meet the king he says "it sounds like your accent is from the western hills of redcilffe" and some of my options to repsond are like "yes i had a farm hold there" but im a dalish elf and this makes no sense usually he says something like "you are dalish are you not?" apparently this is dialogue from the deleted human commoner origin. In any case ive kept playing more and no one regards me as a dalish elf so im wondering how i can fix this.
King Greets me as if im from "Western hills of redcliffe"

I think some of the mods around class change and respec can clear the origin variable, and the default origin turned out to be the defunct human commoner origin.

so even on new chars i make this will happen? because i didn't use the class change on this one, i used it on another char. But does this mean i need to reinstall? or will simply removing the mod fix it.

Removing the mod should fix it, if that's the issue. But you'll likely have to start a new character after the mod is uninstalled.
I would just remove all the mods and see if that fixes the issue. If you care to spend the time you can try and isolate which one might be causing the issue.

alright thanks ill see if removing the mod fixes it, if not i guess it'll just have to be a reinstall.

well i deleted the mod and that character and reinstalled the game and yet he still says the same thing. However i did keep the My Documents folder of dragon age so i would still have all my chars and saved games after reinstalling. does this mean i need to delete that folder too and start all over?

Are there any files in your My Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/packages/core/override directory? If there are delete them. You don't need to get rid of the rest of the directory structure (where the saves and dlc are).

yeah there are two mods i have in there one just gets rid of the pre selected start out abilities you normally have at character creation and the other is the arcane warrior fix for casting with a weapon drawn. Do you think either of those could cause this? If so i guess ill go ahead and delete them.

The character creation is the more likely culprit.

well i deleted that mod and went back to a previous save and he still says that. I guess the character is still messed up either way. in any case i cant bare playing through the origin again right now to find out if i actually fixed it lol.

Any updates on how to fix this problem? I tried reinstalling and I still get the "you accent is from the western hills" line. Are all my characters screwed =[ (two are already 1/2 through the game)?
Edit: Anyone have a saved game of a character right before going to Ostagar? I want to see if starting a new character will fix the bug; so I won't be dissapointed if I go through the trouble of making a new char and the origin data is still corrupt.
