 There's a 'People's choice' award going on currently, over at Gamespot, where games are matched against eachover, and the one with the most votes, progresses to the next round. Mass Effect 3 is currently in the finals up against Farcry 3. If you believe that Mass Effect 3 was a better game than Farcry 3, then why not vote?

Gonna be honest, not sure if this thread is relevant to ME3 MP or not.

Also, nobody cares about what Gamespot thinks.

Yeah gamespot is pretty low on the who gives a damn totem pole, but gameplay wise they are different beasts I suppose I would side with ME3 for multiplayers high replayability , singleplayers depth and soundtrack. Otherside of the coin FC3 has alot of fun features for a first person shooter, but the villains just come across as obnoxious which sorta sucks the fun out of killing them for revenge and feels more like a civic duty. (See: picking up after your dog)

Of course it is relevant. MP is part of ME3 and if the game receives the award, it sure will have a lot of to do with multiplayer mode.

MP is the reason that ME3 is the game of the year for me.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. Mass Effect 3 is a mediocre game plagued by horrible bug and balance issues, and definitely the worst in the trilogy. It deserves no awards. This is especially sad considering how great the first two games were.

Unfortunately biower has legions of overly dedicated fans who are more than accepting of major issues and will forgive and defend any problems their games have, thus telling other developers that it's perfectly acceptable to put out glitch ridden games that take months to get even a poorly produced patch (that further adds glitches), has the worst control scheme in generations, and a terrible ending to a plot hole dotted campaign.

It apeople choice award. WhatGamespotthinks is not part of it.

Far cry 3 co - op is well designed than ME3 MP, but has very limited replayability. Most of the times I get thrown into the initial missions and it gets boring after a while. But the couple of runs impressed me a lot.

Got farcry 3 a few weeks ago, it's a great game and I'm really enjoying it. Still prefer ME3 tho

I tried out the FC3 coop and it didn't convince me. Not at all. It uses peer-to-peer hosting but the performance was really bad often.

Gameplay-wise: No dodges, mooks coming from all sides, no cool powers to cast, enemy guys strapped in some improvised riot gear can survive RPGs fired at them - to name a few things I went WTF with.
Bugs can be dealt with but I already stopped caring. And PVP is just not my thing - it only worked in TF2 for me.

The measure is quite high now with ME3.
For a possible ME4, too: This spoilt customer demands ship-to-ship battles now! Zero-g infantry action. I liked the boarding-the-ship thing in Battlefield 21whateveryear, though I sucked in hitting players (but excelled in getting shot).
Give us fighters, main guns, torpedoes and nebulae! And a bloody melee in space!

You haven't tried FC3, then - or did they patch it for the better now? I haven't looked at it a couple of weeks.

I haven't even taken it out of the plastic. I'm just saying I haven't voted for ME3 for any sort of award because of the colossal amount of glitches present in both single-player and MP. Yes, it's been a fun experience. But the constant amount of glitches I ran into daily really brought down the experience for me.

FarCry 3 was fun but...meh. I much preferred ME3, particularly it's multiplayer component which, for a first iteration, is amazing, but single player is why I purchased it and it's the reason I purchase the DLC's.

Why? MP is part of ME3. And award would go for both MP and SP.
