Its miles better than anything contemporary, sci-fi all the way. And this is quality sci-fi, nothing beats that _ever _.

Mass Effect 3 is far superior than FC3 period.

Yeah I have that same issue with both Bioshock games. I can get to the main menu on BS 1, and then it'll crash, but for BS 2 it'll make it to the credits and it'll just hang. Also I won't ever buy a Ubisoft game on PC on principle. Uplay can rot in hell.

I vote that EA makes Origin's slogan be "At least we aren't Uplay".

Uplay's can be "At least we aren't Games for Windows Live".

Nothing is lower than GFWL though. Nothing.

Yeah GFWL sucks so hard. It takes like 3 minutes on the main menu of Fallout 3 for my saves to be usable... Also I played RE:ORC and I was getting like 15 FPS when I know I should've been getting at least 40.

At this point, ME3 should win. Who gives a hooplah about glitches and whatnot, it's still a much more fun (you know, the reason we play games in the first place) game than Farcry 3 could ever hope to be. The best games of all time have loads upon loads of glitches (Ocarina of Time and Final Fantasy VII are riddled with more glitches than God could count), and that didn't stop those games from being awesome. Who buys a game because it isn't glitchy?

And don't forget, this game is far more ambitious than most of its contenders. There's a lot of depth in this game to consider.

I am not voting for either. I think they both suck equally hard. It's just that ME3 manages to satisfy my thirst for a semi-decent gameplay third-person shooter.

Farcry 3 just doesn't really appeal to me, so...I guess that's that.

Far Cry 3 is a very nice game, while Mass Effect 3 is the last chapter of a beautiful Sci-Fi trilogy that is a great piece of the genre's history.

There's not contest at all, ME3 wins by all means... and yeah, it also has a better MP section.

Far Cry 3 is a fun game and it's pretty, but if falls into the same problem all Crytek games have there's no real reason to care about the worlds they create. Yeah it has spectacular graphics but take that away and there's nothing else that's really compelling.

ME3 has flaws but the story and setting are both really engrossing.

I enjoy MP, but the singleplayer portion of this game left me very disappointed and annoyed with the response we got towards the endings. As I said on the other topic just like this one, I cannot vote for ME3 as a whole for best of anything. If it were just MP versus MP, yes. SP versus SP, not a chance.

Subjective personal opinion stated as fact.

Show of hands, how many here actually own both games? I'd bet dollars to donuts the number is seriously disproportionate to the people claiming to have a valid opinion on the quality of FC3.

Disclaimer: I don't own FC3 and didn't vote in the poll. I'm posting simply because I find blind fanaticism revolting. Especially in defense of such glaring issues that I find made ME3 one of the greatest disappointments in my personal gaming history.

I own both games, and FC3 kicks ME3's behind when it comes to glitches and bugs, atleast on PC. I had to reconfigure my entire setup, change clocks on my graphics card (GTX 580, OC from factory) and tweak the settings for mant days before I could even play it for more than an hour without crashing.

Yeah, that is "what is killing gaming" (PC gaming anyway), so don't vote for it.

I will go with Far Cry 3 even though i haven't even played it. Only thing i liked about ME3 was the Multi player and i was one of the people that hates great single player games having multi player. The single player was very VERY disappointing to me to do the beginning to the end it was just underwhelming rushed and too linear unlike the previous Mass Effect games.

Farcry 3 definately had better endings than ME3 that's for sure. FC3 endings were distinctly different and offered 2 sure methods of closure.

ME3, even after the EC leaves us with a cliff-hanger if you choose Destroy and gets Shepard either killed or semi-killed or most-likely killed in the other 3 endings. Really Bioware should have gave ME3  win/lose/draw endings.

Win = Shepard lives and escapes with his crew and LI, galaxy is saved

Lose = Shepard dies, crew are killed, galaxy left devastated

Draw = Both sides take casualties and Reapers withdraw the last of their forces forging a truce with organics under the promise that they will stay in dark space.

Obviously those endings never happened though and what we got felt unfinished or just lackluster.. to me anyway. Omega DLC was so shamefully 'on-the-rails' that it just didn't feel like an RPG at all. Dialogue was lacking too.

Ok, so i didn't vote. however i just picked up farcry 3, about 2 days ago. and while its fun hunting down a white tiger ballsack to upgrade my inventory slots.... anyone ever heard of Just Cause 2?
tell me how farcry 3 is not just a spin on just cause 2, with more drugs? the only thing farcry is missing is the parachute, otherwise its pretty much the same damned game.

The multiplayer on far cry sucks, just like every multiplayer it was modeled after.... IF you bought the game @ release and played multiplayer consistently & you already memorized where all the spawns are etc etc you can just dominate. If you joined late, you cant stay alive long enough to figure much out because its littered with spawn point snipers

I for one cannot stand multiplayer games like that

at least i got to burn down some mary jane fields and see what(likey someone who never smoked the stuff) thinks it should look like being under its effects in a video game....... swaying back and forth like you are walking with one leg shorter than the other isn't it btw :P epic fail farcry...just sayin

Far Cry 3 has better weapon customization and a few unique weapons.

Just Cause 2 has a physics defying grappling hook.

Really they're both open world games that have modern weaponry. That alone is going to cause a ton of similarities.

and since i havent made it far enough into the game i didnt realize farcry also has a parachute and is only missing the grappling  hook,  customizeable weapons in farcry are a joke, lol choose a  extended clip for this gun or a extended clip for this gun or choose a extended clip for... no this is a starter weapon sorrry you cant upgrade it... still pretty much farcry was modeled after just cause 2. its the same map conquering game where you find enemy outposts, and capture them..... nothing says gamebreaking awesomeness like copying your game from someone else a year later and then acting like it's an accomplishment............:(

I'm not saying i havent had some fun playin farcry 3, but a remake of JC2, has no rights to even be in the same category as ME3

Hahaha, Just Cause 2 was a bad, bad game. Outside of saying they are both taking place on an island, and they are both open world, they are really nothing alike.

Also just so you know, you do get a parachute in Far Cry 3... But I still stand by what I said!

I loved Far Cry 3, imo, it beats the hell out of ME3. People are trying to say that Far Cry is glitchy, but I played through the entire single player and co-op story, and never saw any glitches. The closest thing to a glitch I ran into was when I tried to pull my parachute but nothing happened, and I just died a horrific death. It didn't bother me in the least, because I was too busy laughing my ass off.

Anyway, my vote is for Far Cry 3. ME3 is fun, but it's too buggy, the store system is the worst in any game I've ever played, and my friends can't get into it because it's one of the slowest games to get into and be at equal levels with other players. But this is just my opinion, so whatever.

Just Cause 2 didn't have weapon customization so the point still stands.

Far Cry 3 also has some form of a stealth system, player progression via the tattoo skills, and a crafting system with consumables.

i love when people think small tweaks to a game make them vastly different, they both are the same base gameplay wise, explore a area, conquer enemy bases to gain control of an area, so farcry uses the tatoo for powers, its still the same base game no matter how you wanna try and justify it

and fyi i would vote JC2 a better game than far cry any day of the week, the grappling hook  & parachute combo was wicked fun and since it was  made waaay b4 farcry, and farcry has the tendency to fall 2 feet and your character dies.... lol both have wonky physics

Using that base gameplay I could call JC2 a ripoff of something else. Then somebody could call my game a ripoff of something else, and so on until we go all the way back to whoever came up with the idea of an open world game, which was probably GTA.

I would vote Red Faction Guerrilla a better game than Far Cry 3 or Just Cause 2 any day of the week, and that game had both open world exploration and conquering areas of the map by assaulting bases(and doing missions) before either of those games came out. It also had jetpacks and a gun that melted walls.

Also this is all pretty hilarious when it's in the ME3 MP forums.

Not that I don't love BioWare's version of it =P

lol well, this is true it could be traced way back to yesteryears, and i have no clue about RF guerrilla, i couldnt get past the first red faction game cause i thought it sucked horribly, so i never got into any of the followups... you know...first impressions and all that  stuff.

also ERMAGHERD you talkin about something that isnt ME3.... how dare you people have a conversation..... especially one that was created from talking about ME3 and another game being compared.....GHASP!
