 Which of your squad did you choose for ME1? Which do you think are best for it?

That really depends on what you want in your experience.

If you want to open most of the containers/boxes/doors then bring Tali or Garrus (be sure to put some points in Decryption and Electronics). Tali is better at those skills than Garrus, so I brought along Tali.

For my other Squad member, I usually brought along the one my Shepard was going to be "Romantically involved with" (Which was either Liara or Kaiden).

But if you don't bring Tali or Garrus, be warned, you won't be able to open much of anything, if at all.

It varies every playthrough, but I prefer one with tech skills and one with biotics. Tech because of the numerous geth on the planet, and biotics because the lift ability is really useful when fighting those zoombie things.

I also have a preference for taking Tali with me here, since she knows more than us others about the geth, and can sympathise with the human colony being invaded by this race.

I brought Garrus and Kaiden, but I may go back to the Normandy to replace Garrus with Tali because she knows the Geth more.

The thing about opening is wrong, wrong, wrong.  Kaiden or Shepard, if he's an engineer, sentinel or infiltrator is more than capable of dealing with your lock opening needs.  You can also deal with it by taking decrytion as your bonus talent and taking Liara (who has electronics.)

The "best" is entirely subjective, and all of your team mates can be quite useful on Feros.

My character is a Sentinel, and I brought Ashley and Garrus. I usually go with that duo or Wrex and Garrus. Seems to work out well. I never use Tali. I just don't like her. There are very few things I haven't been able to open.

Ahh, I hadn't considered that. I never did play through ME1 as an Engineer, Sentinel or Infiltrator. I always did it as an Adept or Soldier. Neither of which has those skills so I didn't have the option to pick Electronics/Decryption as my bonus power. I suppose I should have elaberated more because for me, I needed Tali and/or Garrus.

Entirely depends on what class Shepard is. Think I've taken just about everyone in the squad on every mission they can go on apart from the Ilos/Citadel finale. Never taken Tali on that yet. Feros I'm positive I've used them all at one time or another.

I take Tali everywhere with me. Then I mix and match between either Ashley or Liara.

It depends on your class choice - you pick your squad to balance your abilities. I played as a Soldier, so I brought Tali along for tech skills and Liara for biotics.

I always think from a role play point of view that you have to bring liara to feros as shes the Prothean ruin expert.
