I'm so glad to see this forum, hopefully it'll help Mac users gather some helpful information.

We're a mixed marriage, I use a PC, my wife loves her iMac. We were about to get the PC version for her, but the additional price of a new copy of Windows, especially since Bootcamp is still having issues with Windows 7, made the cost a bit high for a game, especially since she has no desire to run Windows for anything else.

When the Mac version was announced, she was happy indeed. We got it right away, but now, I feel guilty. Dragon Age Wiki has a great listing of the promotion DLCs that are freely available for download, which I have used on my PC install to "fill in" the slots I didn't get with my purchase. As a result, I have a few more items than she does. Now, with the new DLC available, the difference is glaring. I know some have had success installing the DLC content without the official app, but is there any word on making it official?

<Edited to add:> Just to let Mac users know, I was able to add in several mods and items to her game by following the instructions posted by user Welnic, near the bottom of the first page of this thread. It works, but I think the average user would rather have an outomated method.

Unfortunately I'm not sure I will hold my breath for DLC support. Which is interesting because the Stone Prisoner DLC works fine and is fully supported.

In either case, as with other EA Cider based games, I expect support for DA:O on the Mac to disappear almost entirely. I foolishly purchased the Cider port instead of the Windows version (boot camp) in the hopes that EA would actually back their Mac products, But as much as I enjoy not having to boot into Windows to play, considering that there's still no patch for the Mac and the fact that the expansion has not yet been announced for the Mac, I'm a bit skeptical that EA will actually follow through and fully support the Mac port like they should.

I don't get it. Can't you get the deluxe edition and get all of the DLC currently available?

Yes, you can. But PC users can get the option of purchasing any of the DLC separately. For instance, if you purchase the standard edition you can get Warden's Keep for $7, bringing the total to $57 for the game plus all DLC, whereas the deluxe is $65. This also means that return to ostagar will probably not be supported for the Mac either.

It will probably be available in the future. There is no reason why it shouldn't since the dlc is already created for the mac version all they have to do is repackage it. I think it has to do with EA.

Since the mac version took some time, the dlc will take time aswell. I just think it has to do with EA and Microsoft. I think those two companies have some sort of deal going on here.
