What if Morrigan is really the evil one and Flemeth is actually trying to save the world from her? Would anyone else expect that?

Then Thedas is in for a real s***storm. One of Biblical proportions, I shouldn't wonder.

Pretty much everything under the Sun has been done at this point. I don't know if that's a bad thing or a good thing. If nothing else it forces writers to be more clever with existing tropes or risk alienating their incredibly jaded audience.

I would still side with Morrigan.

I'd like to think Morrigan and Flemeth are a little beyond being 'the goodie' and 'the baddie'. I think it's enough that they're both powerful, out for themselves, and that they fight. If either is about to make a bid to Take Over/Destroy The World then I'll be sorely disappointed.

I'd be disappointed.

that would be horrible

That would be intriguing. I didn't at all get a sense of that from Morrigan in DAO, however perhaps she herself didn't know her future at that point.
Fun thought.

I could be incredibly wrong with this but... they both speak of change coming but Flemeth speaks of destiny.. Meaning control/order/whatever. While morrigan says the change will set them free... Maybe flemeth is trying to stop it while morrigan is letting it happen.

What about in one of the Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episodes, where Bart turns out to be the evil twin, not the creepy loner with the somewhat demented face, living up in the attic?javajedi217 wrote...

It's even older than that

As a general rule of thumb, I find that anyone who unnaturally extends their life over 100 years is most definitely evil. Not that this makes Morrigan any less evil mind, but one problem at time.

That's assuming Flemeth unnaturally extends her life, of course.

Sorry in what way has she acted in an evil fashion thus far? She's done nothing but save our character, As far as I'm concerned, she IS a good witch.

It would make no sense. Flemeth already has a history of being evil, and cruel. They have freakin stories about her.
No. It would have to be explained in a way that is good, and makes sense when compared to the previous games.

Or better yet, she's neither evil or good and Bioware gets rid of the whole juvenile "evil baddie" to go for something more complex.

I haven't seen Flemeth appear in a pink-hued bubble, nor have I seen her surrounded by fez-wearing, winged monkeys. So I'm inclined to see her motives as neither good or evil, but ambiguous at best.

I believe it will all be up to opinion in the end to figure out who is truly 'good' or 'bad.' They will likely have different goals or different ways of attaining the same goal, yeah. Morrigan may be more self-less in her pursuits, however that does not directly mean she's of a nobler cause - only that she is willing to sacrifice for what she perceives to be the correct path.

I'd prefer a more ambiguous conflict as well -- neither Morrigan nor Flemeth really strike me as evil (or good). Though I think it'd be interesting if Morrigan is doing pretty much what Flemeth wanted her to do without knowing it yet. After all, the whole getting stabbed by the Warden thing seems to have been a minor setback and had been planned for. (Of course, at this point I find everything to do with Flemeth interesting.)

Glenda was the Witch of the South.
Flemeth is the Witch of the Wilds and we meet her in Ferelden THE SOUTHERN MOST COUNTRY!!!
There just aren't enough exclamation points to convey how important that is.

She hasn`t done anything evil in the games so far. She seems more...neutral than good or evil.
