Tagalog, though I am better at speaking English, for reasons unknown... Oh, and I attempted learning Japanese... but only parts of the grammar rules stayed with me... Too much work to learn a language after the age of 10!

Are Scandinavians born with English dictionaries or something?

Scandinavian languages are very similar to English, so I guess it's easier for us to pick it up compared to other langauages. Also, in Norway at least, kids now start learning English in school at a very young age. (We started late back when I was in school, but I've heard they start really early now.)

English. Although Irish is our native tongue it's taught terribly here, barely anyone one speaks it.

English of the New York variety. Second language French. I can understand a tiny bit of Spanish and even form my own sentences if I'm feeling super ambitious.

I started out with Norwegian, but over the years I've become more proficient in English than I ever was in Norwegian. (Except maybe when it comes to pronunciation. :P)

Same here. I am Greek and then moved and lived in many European countries while I was a child and then again with work, so I understand an awful lot when I travel In Europe, but can speak only a tiny amount in each language and write nothing in many lanaguages lol....  English is by far my best or even natural language now because I studied it like mad when I finally ended up in UK and don't travel like I used to....  (One of my jobs is ESoL teacher now *laughing* ).

Speaking of which...

No, that's when I finished a course of english, I started to study english since February 2011

At a time
On a day / date
In a month / year / period

...Are useful guidelines.... *grinning*

Since goes with that horrible present perfect stuff, so it would have to be "I have been studying / have studied English since February"    (or "I started to study in February"  would work too)

Present perfect and prepositions.. way worse than Collectors or Geth stunlock *grin*

Have fun :)

Well, that much I figured. English is kinda the village bicycle in Europe, every other language has had a go at her. So English is pretty adaptable that way.

Cantonese. I haven't taken any regular classes in ages so my literacy is terrible, and I'm not a fluent speaker either.
