Hi all, i want to lose wynne in my new savegame but i can't, all time i return to camp only Leliana confront me and i have to lie to her

My current save is:
Leliana hardened
Wynne quest completed
Leliana in party
Wynne in camp

Can someone tell me the steps to lose wynne without have to kill her ?

The only ways I know of to get rid of her is to either kill her at the start of the Broken Circle quest, or have her in the party and defile the Ashes in the Urn quest. But then again, you will have to kill her.

I thought Wynne was supposed to confront you if she wasn't in the party, and you have the option to tell her off? Since that doesn't seem to be the case, I guess if you had the Feastday Pranks DLC, you could tick her off that way.

Can't you talk to her and just ask her to leave the party?

Failing that, it's *possible* that if you drop her approval to -100 she'll up and leave in disgust.

Don't have the game with me so can't check for you.

Two ways i know of, the first in mage tower where some guard is in some kind of magic prison,
right before the last level.
here she can turn hostile easily, so i always save before this dialog.
The other place is if i defile the ashes, somehow she found out and left

If you rescue the mages, you can also simply leave Wynne in the tower, just don't take her with you when she asks Irving's permission to join your party downstairs after defeating Uldred.

Remove her equipment if you need any, before talking to Irving and while downstairs, tell her, her place is in the tower. She then walks near the quartermaster, you may recruit her later, though but she won't disturb you any further if you don't want to.

She is supposed to abandon you if you pour the dragon blood in the sacred ashes, but leave her at camp.

Can I ask why you would want to leave Wynne behind? Exactly what benefit is there in not having a party member with you? It's not like you have to bring her with you.

If you're playing on the PC version I'm sure there's a console command to do this too. Can't tell you off the top of my head is though as I've never wanted to get rid of a party member.

I do this for immersion value.

For me...it's the Warden, Alistair, Morrigan, and Leliana's journey. They are the main characters in my story.

I help Wynne in the tower...but she is just a "major" side character to me. (in my story)

I help Oghren in Orzammar...but he is just a "major" side character to me. (in my story)

Not only is my immersion value from what's mentioned above...but also from only having 3 party members. Having more than 3 means you're always leaving at least one person behind on quests.

Hmmm i find this issue confusing. For one if you're having it as the first 4s journey then what's the problem recruiting the others when you can always just leave them in camp?

 

And knowing other people from the game with be an added factor to immersion due to the story in DAO as a backside of it. Leaving one person behind on quests is not an issue it even adds comic relief if you talk to Oghren at camp coz hes always drunk and Wynne doing the old lady talking about your relationships things.

I agree.. In the broken circle, if you agree with Cullen (all people in the harrowing chamber should be killed), Wynne will attack you and you can kill her just before entering the harrowing chamber. Or, take her with you and dump the dragon blood into the urn.

I find the best way to lose Wynne, when I'm playing a character who prefers life w/o companions, is to off her at the barrier, in front of the children.   (I miss the evil smiley)

 

Other than that, I actually enjoy having her around. Never tried driving her off peacefully though.

why would you want to lose a valuable healer?

how you suppose to go in the final battle only with your party members? lol  who it will defend the gate?

That bit is skipped if you have no other party members.

bah, where is the fun then? lol and i think we just made some thread archaeology here lol, this post was made last year i think XD the guy might as well finished his game without wynne or maybe not
