 I've been in "search" mode for a Quick Match (I changed all the options to ANY) for over 1/2 hour and nothing yet.  I'm trying this at 1700 hours Mountain time.  What gives?  Is there a better way to search or a better time?  I've never played MP before but I already beat the game in single player mode.  I want to get more points now for a different ending.

Make sure you have all the free DLC installed, if you don't it will try to pair you with others who don't have it. (which isn't many people)

I think that sometimes game attempts to connect you to server you can not reach. If you stuck at "searching for games" window, try clicking cancel and start search again.

Well, all the free multiplayer DLC, anyhow, but that's four out of five pieces.
Still well worth getting them all.

Also, change the difficulty search to Bronze if you're new.

Quick match does that to me, too, occasionally. I usually cancel and try again after 30 seconds or so, and hop right into a game.

I'm in mountain time too, and don't usually have trouble with quick match.

also, if you're new to multiplayer, don't set the difficulty to "Any."  get your feet wet in some bronze matches, level up some basic equipment with recruit or veteran packs from the store, and move on from there

Great suggestions. I definitely don't have all the free DLC's yet. D/L'ing now. I'll set the challenge to Bronze, too. I was pathetically going in alone and getting slaughtered!

i had a similar problem. i couldnt find quick matches and noone ever joined my created matches because i didnt have the proper network ports open for me3 mp. Ended up having to change some of my firewall rules.

I think all my ports were okay. But, just in case I made everything wide open for Mass Effect 3 (only). Also, there was no Outbound set up so I did that I opened it wide. Still no luck...still "searching".

Just the server being dumb and trying to connect you to an incompatible game. I've had it find me a match that right after I hit search I was met with the screen of, "You have lost connection to this match."

Oh,and I'm on a PC. Quite frustrating. Not a single hit and everything should be wide open now with all free DLC's downloaded. Argggggggggggggghhhhh!

Hit search, wait 5s, abort, hit search again.
After doing this a couple of times you will finally find a lobby or a running game to join.
Another option is to start a new lobby and jump right into the gamealone, usually more people join within the first wave.
If nothing helps, restart ME and Origin and try again.

I'm mountain time, too, and have had some difficulty here and there over the past few days (pc) getting into bronze and silver matches.... and also filling a lobby for said difficulties. That being said, you could try right - clicking the game in origin and clicking repair install, after installing all available free dlcs. Sometimes that works for me when I have problems with MP...

I've had the same issue the past few days (bronze & silver). Searching just sits there and sits there. I open a lobby myself and no one joins. Various "fixes" have been cancel and search again (50/50), or exit multiplayer (back to main screen) and go back in, or more drastically exit out of the game & Origin and start over.

Was working fine before. I wonder if there are more players on now due to the winter break and the servers can't handle it?

Nitrocuban nailed it for me. I restarted Origin and the game and I've been playing MP for quite a bit now. Loving it! Thanks guys.
