I normally run him with a GPR because it shreds in his hands

Skip flamer and use any weapon that
you feel like using. Typhoon + Javelin
for the win.

Reegar, I mostly use it because it's an electrical flamethrower or some such, it fits the character.

I go with a geth theme, GPS and Javelin (no Flamer build).
GPS for Mooks, Javelin for bosses and insane cover penetration.

This unit approves of your no-flamer build.

I used to always use the Hurricane and the Acolyte, but lately I have switched to using the Talon (this is for a Flamer build). If you're using Hunter Mode, it tightens the pellet spread and makes the Talon pretty good at all but the longest ranges. Plus, the Talon is almost as good a shield stripper as the Acolyte. I still carry a Hurricane with ULM as a second weapon, but I sometimes go entire matches without ever pulling it out.

GPS with omni blade and GPSMG with hvb.
Why? GPS works with how I play the Trooper. SMG is backup/guardian buster. Geth

I used Reegar for a while. AP rounds on it and it becomes a secondary flamer while it's recharging. Would take down anything quickly. Banshees, Praetorians, Atlases, Primes, Reegar the shields off and FLAME ON
Then I switched to the GPS to add some range and have a Geth feel to it. Think I prefer the Reegar though, should add some kind of secondary to it.

It just feels so wrong not using geth weapons, for any of the geth really.
But Javelin, with both piercing mods and drill rounds.
