Just to balance this thread out a bit PEACEFULLY, has anyone had any experiences with women being immature online? No one can call sexism if both genders are being criticised.
Just a couple days ago a friend and I were dropped into a lobby on a different game. My friend was talking before we got dropped in, so the first thing someone heard him say was "You're not a girl." It was part of a totally unrelated conversation. A woman immediately responded, angrily, "Yes I am a girl." I joked back, "He wasn't talking about you. not everything is about you." And at that she lost her s**t and started hurling insults at us. In game she proceeded to rage loudly every time she was killed and blaming everything but her performance. Typical angry CoD kid stuff, although coming from an adult. My favorite was when said "You're using [attachment for a gun]. That's such a b***h attachment. I'm a girl and even I don't use that." I honestly don't think she realised that she was only insulting herself and her gender.
I can't stand girls like that. Not only is she making herself look bad but other female gamers as well. Never once did I expect any of my guy friends to carry me or treat me special because I'm female. And they don't. If your a female gamer who wants to be taken seriously don't act like that. She sounds like one of those girls who wants that special treatment. Maybe she was on her period? But that's not really a good excuse imo.
I may joke around about being a female gamer buts always a joke. Its never to be taken seriously. I think its so funny when people get their panties over those jokes. (Though the elite girl players thread was serious...I did manage to find a few of them! They do exsist!)
I cannot possibly agree anymore with your post. She sounds like a douche and should be treated like you would treat any douche guy.

The best is getting stalked by female gamers or meeting overly clingy women. After that happened several times I just stopped adding chicks. Besides, my tomboy friend IRL was my first friend on ME3 and really the only chick ever to totally keep our gaming relationship professional. Also for the record the way most guys flirt is disgusting to me on Xbox live. Its a video game, go to a bar if you want creep.
Definitely creepy. I fall into the tomboy chick gamer zone. I enjoy what is considered traditionally male activities (drinking whiskey, shooting pool, bowling, fishing, watching college football, playing video games), but I am also happily married. But given an honest-to-God choice between a day of shopping with my girl friends or a day of male-stuff with my guys friends (such as all hooking up to game online, all going out to get drunk and shoot pool/watch football, or all going out to drink and fish), I will choose the guys' day out every single damn time. It's just more fun, FOR ME, in my opinion.
Sorry you've run into creepy girls. That's as unfun as girls running into creepy guys.
Honestly, I am all for the human race getting to a point where activities aren't associated with certain genders. Can we just say that, as a person, I enjoy this-this-and-this and not be judged for it?
