I'd favor quadruped as it already is. For one it's much, much easier to make. You're half done already. I'd prefer a fiercer owl face though, I think it currently looks pretty dorky. You can do a bipedal version later if you wanted.

Owls have a certain degree of dorkiness about them. It's not supposed to be an eagle-bear, after all.
In fact, I like the round friendly-looking owl face on the dangerous-looking bear body. It belies the true savage nature of the beast.
Maybe that's how it hunts. "Oh, look at the big cuddly owl-thing! Let's give it a hug... MY ARM! IT'S TORN OFF MY..."

I wouldn't be unhappy with the quadruped. I would take this and use it as it is in the latest screenshot. I was just speaking up in defense of the believability of the bipedal owlbear, since I don't find it any less realistic than other fantasy beasts.

All right well I'll stick with the quadruped for now then and perhaps do a biped later.
Maybe with an entire set of custom animations using the dire bear skeleton seeing as it fits well to this model.
Oh, and if I want to create just one or possibly two new attack animations, am I able to just copy and rename the old gr2 files from the dire bear for the other animations, or am I screwed as the root bone is improperly named as a dire bear within the gr2 animation files? >.<

I’ve suddenly have the urge to build a Caves of Chaos module. Hey great job and good luck on getting Owlbear up and working. Really looking forward to its final release.

Thanks DanJ. I just swapped everything over to a new hard drive, so I should be able to check it out tonight.
