My own tribute to BG2

Hi all,

I´m new here, but not so unknown on some other IE forums like Pocket Plane, BWL, G3 and others. I just decided to give you all a little shot of what I´m considering to be my own tribute to IE based games, especially BG2, to all its creators, developers, etc... (with or without ToB). Consider it as my own big thanks to them for creating such a perfect games.

Started to work on it maybe a year ago or so, and progress it very slow due to RL stuff (nothing unusual - we all have these...

), but everytime I have at least some free moments, I´m working on it.

It should be a whole new city, Crimmor perhaps, my own vision of it, to be more specific. Here are some pre-render screens:

Looks pretty nice, keep up the good work! Are you planning on making some of this content available in a mod or some other form in the future?

Yes, actually I do. It will be something like "empty city mod", only with some basic functional stuff, like ambients, area music, maybe some general commoners and creatures (like rats, cats, dogs, chickens, etc..), ready for population process. You know, Athkatla is pretty full right now, when you have more NPC mods instaled, and I realized there´s really no empty space for another interesting quest. Art is very nice, but overviewed, people want something new and fresh... So I will give them a whole new city

New environments will certainly be appreciated, very few BG mods have done interesting new environments. I really enjoyed The classic Adventures total conversion mod, but other than that there's very few new areas available.
