Chatting via Origin is a pain, not just for the guy who asks if he can join also for the guy who is playing and would need to chat...

So joining and voice-chat is much more comfortable, isn't?

If I accidentially join a sologame and part right after I regognize (no kills), is the solo achievement for my friend lost?

I think that that OP is really private issue between two concerned persons, and should be resolve between them. If Stardusk wanted to advise people against ninja joining, he shouldn't mention people involved. Doing this in this fashion is just publicly venting off on someone. So maybe the best idea is to remove at all this post or put it to sleep as fast as possible....

As far as I see it, ****ing about something and then refusing an honest apology made for the world to see doesn't make you own someone. Scythe, IMO, you've got backbone coming here to apologise. Between whining and acting like a child, and being honest and saying you made a mistake, even if you weren't aware of it, I know which person I would prefer to have on my friends list.
Also the thing being said earlier about this having gone on for too long. It's not a big deal, sh** happens.

Yes, texting is a pain, but if you join to chat via mic it won't count as a "solo" for challenges -- even if you don't do any damage.

This thread has become a 9 page barrage of insults directed at Stardusk...and I suspect that every time he sees it jump back to the top of the list their chance at reconciliation gets worse.

That's not what I was hoping to do by sticking my nose in their business - therefore...

Why is this thread still going?

Stardusk, as you often like to mention, you have a certain age (30 something), but judging from this thread I'd say you were 12. Someone made a mistake, you had two options: settle this between you and him or wash your laundry in public. For some reason, you chose the latter. I don't know what you hope to accomplish with this.

-Scythe-, seriously dude, ninja-joining can be a pain sometimes, especially when said person attempts a solo (and forgets to set his status to invisible). Avoid this in the future by asking first.

Depends on the circumstances really- but- while a lot of us take this game seriously and clearly doing a Platinum solo is a challenge- it makes you look like a jackass to start a thread about this and then refuse to accept the persons apology. It's disgraceful. If a person wants to sulk about something like this and mulishly refuse to accept an honest apology it probably behooves them not to do the complaining so publicly that their gaming friend can view easily on the same public forum and respond yes? 

I have children- if my kids were arguing about something like this: I'd make the offender offer a heartfelt apology, I'd explain why and how what they did was wrong, then I'd make the "victim" accept apology gracefully at least outwardly and then chat to them about how the offender has been duly chasetised and that he/she now needs to work on moving on and forgiving. 

Golden rule works - while you can ask Scythe how he would feel if someone did this to him- you could ask how Stardusk would feel if he made a mistake and tried to make amends only to be rebuffed by indignation. 

This is how I feel about this at my age.
